How much is this worth?

What do you think I could get for my 15-22. I'm thinking about putting it up for sale. I hate to part with it because of how much time and money I've put into it, but the proceeds will go to buying a new toy. Probably a sig556. Gotta upgrade. Just let me know. Thanks!

i think nobody can price this, mostly because of the paintjob.
Some may like it, some may hate it.

Why not keep it?
wont cost any money if you dont shoot it.

I would agree on the 70-80%, if it was fairly stock.

There are a lot of accessories that a buyer would have to like, too.

Custom paint changes the whole equation. If the buyer wants a different accessory, they would have to either paint the entire firearm/accessories or try to match the current scheme.

I'm guessing 50% would be reasonable unless you find just the right buyer who likes the color/pattern and your particular combination of accessories.

I'd start off listing it around on the internet at 70% of what you have in it then drop the price every few weeks till someone finally bites.

I agree with above about keeping it. you could sell it, but you will more than likely not get what you put into it. then after you sell it you will have the horror of having to pay for that pricy centerfire ammo, at least if you keep it you could always go plinking for a few bucks instead of 30 rounds at a time.

I would say definitely keep it. I just saved up a bunch of money for a couple of months and then built my own AR. Super pricey, but I love it. That being said, I probably still shoot my 15-22 more than the AR15 because it costs 1/10 the price to shoot. If I ever got rid of my 22, I would probably regret it very quickly and be very sad. It is just still so much fun to shoot!

A new 15-22 is about $400, used maybe $300, used and spray painted??? Maybe $250? Generally accesories, unless their top-end stuff, generally go for about 50% of their new price. But that was before you spray painted them, now that they are spray painted 50% would be very high.

If you could get $400 for the whole package I would think that's about it, if it were me I would keep it. Painting a rifle and accessories is much like having a custome rifle built, you built it just like you wanted it but the problem is to get it's value back you need to find someone who wants everyting exactly like you wanted it.
