Hello. Found this (obviously) used 6906 with one mag and the CAI import mark. The condition of the front and right side is pretty much in keeping with what you see of the rear and left side.

What would you consider paying for it, if you were so inclined?

Thanks.

Truthfully I would want to know where it was re-imported from before any dealings

You might want to double check and see if the barrel is chambered for 9MM Parabellum or 9x21

In that condition, I would want to get it for $300 or less.

If the asking price is more than that, then I would be out looking for something in better condition with more magazines

A year and a half ago I bought a used 6904 and 6906 from the same local gunshop about three or four months apart; both were both in good to great condition(call them not quit "as new in box") with three magazines between them...... the 6906 was $325 the 6904 was $260.

This was during the S&W Shield sale/rebate and the LGS owner expected them to sit for a long while but knew I like 3rd Gen Smiths..... so he may have priced them to get me to buy...... neither were in the used gun case.... he brought them out of the back.

Prices aren't going to be any lower in the future.
And 3rd gens are not being produced any longer.
Makes that a buy now fun gun to me.

Round here it would fly of the shelf at $400. I would pay about that. Not gonna be more of them, and they are fantastic pistols.

I would pull the slide and have a look-see at the frame if I were going to get it. The frames can be chewed up from usage over time. If the frame looked fine – it would be worth prolly $375 to me ... 12-rd mags have been popping up here occasionally.

Not sure about 6906 National pricing, but have for sale here now on the forums for $525 shipped, and comes with box, docs, and 2 mags. Excellent condition from a personal collection- never imported or LEO used, and I get no takers or even tire kickers.

I believe I tried to kick the tires a couple times. ;)

See my post (#3) .....I've accumulated 'several" 6906s and 6904s over the years at LGSs as a staple hi-cap carry......

used; I don't think I recall seeing one for over $400. Though SCS&W 4th Ed. has them "ANIB at $600"

In my area, prices are pretty much those.

Well, easy come, easy go. Picked it up yesterday. It cleaned up pretty well.

I'd still like a 6904, which is what I went in looking for in the first place (it turned out to be a 469).

I've been looking for a local 6906 for another 9mm ccw. Sold a LNIB about 5 years ago and have had sellers remorse ever since. I would have been all over that one for what you paid....well done;)

That is a very good buy for the price and cleaned up very well indeed. Good for you.
