I have visited my elected representatives from time to time, and have often had very good discussions will them on their doorstep. They have always been amicable and respectful.

If I had to guess, this might be a case of "When you don't want to do something, one excuse is as good as another" since we don't have both sides of the the story.

A bill proposing "Constitutional Carry" is dead in the Texas House of Representatives. Read the article below and see why. I won't comment further, but I'm guessing a few of you will.

Texas House Speaker says constitutional carry bill 'dead' after gun rights activist went to his home | Politics | Dallas News
Thats not "why". Bonnen was against it from the beginning, but it certainly never helps to act like the "other side" does when they confront legislators.
The post regarding the committee meeting is open to the public, and will hear speakers from the audience. A more reasonable forum.

Well I think its terrible to go to peoples homes, even though we see others do it and not get condemned for it, go figure. Still two wrongs don't make a right. If officials don't live up to their promises, just work harder to see they don't get elected again.
I was wondering, how did it get to the point of "threatening to kill, or physically harm" since I couldn't find any actions or statements by McNutt that show that type of activity, or did I miss it, maybe its implied by wearing a shirt with a gun on it or the fact that its gun related .
