How often do you look at Gunbroker and GI??

GB is whenever I need good laugh on optimistic pricing or "I think I want a ____ " and quickly change my mind. I give thanks ever time for the guns I own and the price I paid for them.

GI never except for my colonoscopy.

GB is turning into flebay...BIG time...most bidding done in the final few minutes which extend the auction 15 minutes....I've seen an auction go on for an hour or more Past regular ending time!!

Couple times a week. Something specific I'm looking for. A couple days ago I visited to look for those items and darned if I didn't buy a 2.0 9MM PC gun. Little brother for the 2.0 .40 PC pistol I bought a couple years ago.

Gunbroker almost every day. GI never. Be careful with the multiple bids at the same time. I once won three different Colt SAA revolvers in one week. Cured me of ever doing that again.

My visits to GunJoker and GunsInternational are irregular but multiple times a month to daily depending on the weather, my rate of accumulation, etc. I maintain a watch list and “saved searches” on both sites. However, I rely on Amoskeag auctions more than any other source because I can go to their previews and inspect firearms in person. That reduces my risk, especially with my goal of sticking with high condition collectibles.

Every once in a while I purchase a new firearm online because I can’t get it locally. Most recently I discovered a limited run, went to both GB and GI, and found a good deal on GunsInternational. A while ago I bought a SIG P365 off GunBroker. The increasing transaction costs there are a “turn off”.

GI asking prices are way too high. Never find anything for a reasonable price. I hit GB mostmdays.

I agree that GI pricing tends to be at the high end or beyond reasonable. However, nothing prevents you from calling and making a lower offer.

Rarely. I use an auction house aggregator (that I've shared with you, OP) and have found most of my odd diamonds in the rough over the past year there. It's the opposite of GB where too many sellers are "overselling" something that's not really rare or collectible. Whereas on the auction houses, they'll just list it as "S&W Revolver" or some such and it could be a ringer.

…among other sites??
This new formed addict has been on GB every single day since I found out about it a year or so back.
I think there had not been a time since I got my 4th gun (27-2) that I haven’t had a number of bids going at once.
Of course I haven’t won the vast majority of bids but nevertheless they are bids.
I know I should seek help.., but probably not from you guys.. hahaha
The Guns International site I am on daily looking at Colt Bisleys usually. GB I am not on there as often maybe every week or so.

I try to stay away from GB, tend to buy something every time I visit. So I only visit every couple months, I never visit GI.

It's a sickness, there is no cure, only time (and you run out of money). I was in your condition quite a few years ago, but lots of in person auctions, and several time weekly visits to a couple of my LGS's I slowed down. Then there comes a time when you start selling off your accumulation and (hopefully) reaping the benefit of holding and enjoying your purchases over the years.

20-30 years from now you will be surprised at the value of your items, (if you bought right).

I’m hoping I’ll be in good enough shape not to have to sell, but we’ll see… I’m never going to retire so I’ll just try to stay healthy.
If I die before my wife, I figure she’ll be mad that I spent so much but happy to reap the rewards. I am absolutely doing this for her. Oh yes

I look at Gunbroker when I feel I need to look up actual sales. Today I think it kept me from being skinned on a deal. I have a vintage Colt Python and I've been planning to trade it for a new Python and some cash back. So I went back to a store where I had spotted a new 6" Python, the same size as my vintage gun. I looked at the new Python to make sure it wasn't a lemon, and then told the shop employee that I wanted to trade my vintage Python for the new Python and cash back. This employee then said to me that my vintage Python wouldn't cover the price of the new one. I had looked up completed sales of vintage Pythons and found completed sale for a vintage Python like mine that went for way more than the price of one of the new Pythons, and I told the employee that I saw actual completed sales that would have more than covered the price of a new Python. By then I think the employee realized I was on to him and said, "Well, sometimes sales are different from purchases." He said he would look up the book for what the shop would pay. By this time I decided I didn't want to be in the same room with this person and told him to not waste his time. I zipped up the pistol rug and left. I now have some reservations as far as ever patronizing this shop again. Gunbroker kept me from being fleeced.

I can quit anytime I want and I don’t need help. I’m checking on my bids right now so I will be back.
