How often do you look at Gunbroker and GI??

A bunch of years back I'd go on their sites at least once a month - can't say I ever got burned either. Now I can't honestly remember the last time I've looked at either one. Back in the day I bought and sold my share on GB but now days I am a bit hesitant with all the scams, frauds and cheating I read about.

I check GunBroker when I'm looking to see what people want for guns versus what people are willing to pay for those guns. I also go there when I'm needing a gun p0rn fix. :D

Guns International, usually once daily, just out of boredom to see what's being offered for how much and just to see what's out there. No Gunbroker. I was banned. I can't be bothered to reinstate.

I don't buy from GB as I've been burned by bad sellers and see too many scams on there. I've sold a few on GB through a friend that has a sellers account though.
I've bought four or five guns from Gunsinternational. There is some very good stuff that pops up but you do have to be either fast or persistent, or both to make quick contact with a seller and lock the deal down.

Only hit Gunbroker if I'm bound and determined to confirm my suspision/opinion that an asking price is just so unreasonable and the seller SO delusional that any further interest would just be a total waste of time...

Or, not very often?

Cheers!

…among other sites??
This new formed addict has been on GB every single day since I found out about it a year or so back.
I know I should seek help.., but probably not from you guys.. hahaha

Ahoy, I can help you buy S&Ws with your money. I would love to help.

I rarely get on GB anymore but when I was hunting much more I did frequent it almost daily, especially when I had an itch for a particular gun. This was back in the mid 2000's. I didn't even own a computer but borrowed my wife's work laptop to browse the site. This was in the days when smart phones were not all that common. I had a Nextel with no internet capabilities. I remember at one point bidding on a Citori Upland Special and leaving to go on a hunting trip that was 7 days long. When I got back I found that I was the only bidder and had won the bid. I paid back then by money order that I would get at the Post Office and trust that I would receive my gun and I always did.

Used to be online shopping probably an hour a day. Have it down now to eight minutes on the days I have the time.

I hit GB once a day. I get a gun every 5 weeks average. I got a system that works on law of averages. I decide what I want to pay. This includes, fees
sales tax, shipping and transfer. I bid that amount and that’s it on every one of that model they list. This doesn’t work on scarce or rare collector pieces. It works good on models that are fairly common. The market gets soft when you have 50 or so of same model. In other words don’t get excited and run up the bids. They auction them daily and also get new listings.
* I also may have unintentionally found a weakness in online auctions. Pay attention to when auction ends. Day & time. I had been after a particular model for couple months. They were going $700-$1k. I was bidding about 75% according to my system. Was so use to loosing was surprised to get notification I had won. Then I realized what went down. The auction had ended during Super Bowl. A valuable piece of intel for future bids.

I used to spend at least $5000 annually on Gunbroker. I'm done with them now!

I'm 68 years old and always had owned 3 or 4 hand guns, rifles, and shot guns. That's about it. Then I retired three years ago and got on a firearm collector kick. My thing was older S&W revolvers. I have made 65 purchases on gunbroker, but the pool has seemed to have run dry. I paid top dollar for top dollar guns I wont shoot. I will enjoy them my son will profit from them. Like I said, the pool seems to have run dry. Glad I bought what I did. Found some excellent other firearms as well.

Gunbroker, multiple times a day along with PSA, Primary Arms and others.

Never Purchased Through Gun-Broker or Guns International

But if I have been through the topics on here and the S&WCA forum I may check the GI For their prices to see if my purchases were overpaid or good buys! Gun Broker has never been as user friendly for this technical illiterate senior citizen and most Model S&W items I asked for they had none of.
