How often do you shoot?

I shoot every Saturday morning and some times one night during the week regardless of what's going on at home. I make weekend plans after I shoot, that's my enjoyment. Gets me reved up the a good day. I've got a friend who talked me into getting some guns and going shooting, he never goes maybe once and not with me. Ask him to go always says he's busy, busy doing what. Gees you guys need to leave the wife for a little while, I'm sure she'll be their when you get home. My wife looks forward to me leaving for 2 hours. Ha Ha no milkman no poolboy no landscaper, maybe the lady mailman. I'm just saying been into guns now about 6 months and I'm pretty sure I shoot more then 75% of the member here. always loved guns just late on owning them. Shot a lot when I was younger using my friends guns mini14,uzi,ar15,winchester magnum 22. It's great to get out and shoot so get going.

I shoot to much and not enough. To much to keep my supply of ammo stocked, and not enough, just not enough.

I actually went after work today just to proof my Sport out after installing some new parts. Same as above, shot most of my ammo up, didn't have enough to shoot as much as I should have or wanted to.

What do you do? Oh, and my Wife looks forward to me going shooting, especially when she gets to come along, so it works out well.

I try to get out to a range twice a month for pistol practice. I'm in NW suburban Illinois. Outdoor ranges are nowhere within convenient distance. Pistol range time averages $20 and hour.

I do my best to try and get to the outdoor range over the border in Wisconsin to shoot my rifles every month except for the winter months. One fee, all day range time. I load up my long guns, ammo, and shoot up the ammo I bring along. I use the time for quality practice, not just blasting away.

I am very envious of members who live in firearms friendly states. I am even more envious of forum members who live in rural areas and have backyard ranges. If I had a backyard range, I'd be shooting every day.

I shoot an action pistol (idpa like) league every Tuesday. Twice a month I go to some local club idpa matches on Saturday mornings. The other Saturday mornings i shoot a round of sporting clays with some guys from work. Occasionally I will shoot rifles when I find the time. On top of all of that I shoot bow and arrow with my family in the back yard regularly. I guess I'm spoiled.

Well, it had been 2 times per month for pistols and 1 time per month for rifles.

Then I got into a heavy travel swing for work, and we sold our house, bought another and moved. It's been a pretty busy two months, so I've only been out to the rifle range twice since mid-March (mid-March was my last indoor pistol range visit).

I shoot weekly........Either off my back deck or at my personal range. Never shot on a public range.

On top of all of that I shoot bow and arrow with my family in the back yard regularly.

I haven't tried archery. Maybe I'll start in the Fall.

Last year it was just pistols at an indoor range, but since I got the Sport I had to find a new range. It's a little further away (about a 40 minute drive each way), but the membership was reasonable ($120 for a year with unlimited use and a free CCW class).

That's what scares me.

If I had a deal like that near me, I'd be on it. As it is now, the $20/hr pistol ranges are all about 30 - 40 minute drives away.

I just joined and the outdoor range last night. Holmesburg Fish and Game. I also shoot at local indoor range. Have been getting to the range 3 times a week lately. I don't know how long I'll keep this up.

I get to the range once a month. Normally I will shoot 200-250 rounds between my .45 and 9mm.

Generally once a month, depending on my ammo supply.

When I get a new gun, I go as often as I can so as to get at least 200rds through it ASAP and get a feel for it right away. I was going once a week sometimes twice a week when I got my MP15!
