How to find mf date

It's not that you posted in the wrong place, you tagged onto someone else's thread. It's better to start a new thread with a question. Your serial# dates to about 1978 according to the Standard Catalog. Welcome to the forum BTW...

Not surprising Smith & Wesson not being the most popular brand in Sweden . Please let us know how the new pistol works out.

Now the gun is in my hand.
It was in much better shape than i expected from the images.
I have done a TLC now and I have ordered some new parts like springs and a new mag.
I have only plinked it so far but this weekend there is a training and comp so then I can start to examine it for real.
But so far - I really love it.

Some OT - does anyone know what the requirements are for starting to export guns from sweden to US?
Is it worth the effort? As it is now I can see that there are 6 mod 41 out on the market with a price range of 189 - 320 USD.

I think perhaps you have it backwards? Model 41 pistols go for a LOT of money here in the US, while it seems in Europe they bring a fraction of the price. It sounds like it would be a definite losing matter to attempt to move more 41's to The Netherlands.
