1. Go to a second-hand store and buy a pair of men's used size 14-16 work boots.



2. Place them on your front porch, along with a copy of Guns & Ammo Magazine.



3. Put a few giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines.



4. Leave a note on your door that reads:



Hey Bubba,



Me, Big Jim, Duke and Slim went for more ammunition. Back in an hour. Don't mess with the pit bulls, they attacked the mailman this morning and messed him up real bad. I don't think Killer took part in it but it was hard to tell from all the blood. Anyway, I locked all four of 'em in the house. Better wait outside.

A few years ago, a friend of a friend joined us for an afternoon's ride. All of us are in our 50's and riding H-D dressers.

When we stopped for a bite to eat, the friend of a friend laid his expensive riding jacket and helmet on the seat of his bike and turned to go inside the restaurant. Seeing him do this, I asked him if he really thought that his jacket would be there when we came back out.

He said to come over and take a look.

Lying on top of the jacket was a .45 round!

He said that he'd been doing that for years and had never had his jacket, helmet or bike stolen!

That looks just like a round of ammo that I tried to buy on GunBroker recently.
