I'm a sucker, and my method is that: I open a new page on the site Postimage. There I load my pic, then I select the format for forums, then I put it on the text of the post.

But next year you'll forget why it's in your postimage account and delete it. Then we'll have another pothole in the board for all or eternity.

I'd like to see 3rd party hosted images banished for any posts going forward.

Didn't help another gun forum when the board software was updated in 2008 IIRC. We lost all the board hosted pictures.

It still reduces the forums exposure to 3rd party ineptitude, forgetfulness or outright malevolence. Users could still post links to 3rd party albums if very high res pictures are important to them.

Worse yet, what happens when someone's account at the 3rd party host is hacked and all their images are replaced with (fill in the blank)?

But, I'm just a grateful user here and happy this resource is available.

(I was going to accuse myself of being off topic, but posting pics IS the topic. Maybe someone will move this thread to the Lounge)
