If you get as far as posting a thumbnail, Go Advanced to see a preview of the post, click the thumb. When it opens copy the URL and use the Insert Image function... et Voila!
Found this recently, surprisingly easy.
Should have mentioned, right click the thumbnail to open, then Ctrl C the url and use the insert image function thingy.
Yes, it works. Here's a slightly more detailed description...
When writing a new post, click on "Manage Attachments". It's in the Additional Options window.
You will get a pop-up window.
Click on Browse in the pop-up.
Navigate to the picture on your computer and click it.
Then click Upload in the pop-up.
In your new post, click on Preview Post or Go Advanced.
In the preview at the top of the page, click on the thumbnail. This should open the full sized image.
When you see the image, right click on the address bar at the top of your browser.
Click copy.
Hit the back arrow in your browser.
Click on the
button.
Hit Ctrl+V then Enter.
The wise writer will now hit the Preview Post button to see that his picture is displayed as intended. This does work and doesn't require going to a specific picture hosting site. It does add a thumbnail at the bottom of the post, but that's not an issue.
If you already have an album here on the forum, with photos stored (which I am in the process of creating, since the PB thing), you can, as Rastoff said, just copy the BB Code from the album, and paste it into the text, and the picture will appear in your post:
I mostly work from my iPad, but this is easier on a regular computer.
It avoids having a thumbnail at the bottom of your post.
Regardless of how you get your photos here it is a great addition to any thread. The best part is that they stay forever unlike many PHOTOSUCKET photos that disappear if you lose the photo or it somehow gets deleted.
Here's another favorite taken at my gun club primitive camp cabin.
DevilDog, you're on the right track, here is you're pic blown up:
If you click on your thumbnail, (I'm on my iPad, so this may be different on a computer) then when you get your big picture, copy the address and paste it in the body of the post. Add
after, and the photo will show in the post. Takes longer to tell about it than to do.
