How To Remove Rear Sight Blade in Model 39?

I would like to remove just the sight blade from a 1967-ish Model 39. It has a screw for windage adjustment which will turn only so far left and right. Is it staked in or is there a way to remove it without messing things up?

There is a nut staked on the end of the windage adjustment screw. If the blade has to be removed, you will have to break the screw shaft (turning to the right) or drill out the staked area at the end of the screw shaft in the nut to get it out.

Thanks, 950 - I thought that was what it looked like. Interesting that the same style is used on revolvers. I wanted to pull the blade because I've got some light rust film leaching up from inside the blade housing. I'm thinking now I may just try to flush it well.
