I have a S&W 9mm semi-auto that I want to sell, but I've never sold a gun before and am a little unsure how to go about it! I know there is an area in the forum for advertising, but I thought I'd get a few opinions on the subject first. There must be pros and cons to every method (two-party, online, on this forum, on consignment, etc). I own only 3 handguns, two were purchased online and one was a two-party transfer. All went well. Anything I should keep in mind or be aware of? thanks!

how to sell a handgun
In practically all the states a non licensee can ship to a ffl.
I advise you to call Dept of Justice and ask. The are helpful,in fact I left a message and they returned my call within an hour.
If you cannot ship direct, then you will have to have a ffl dealer ship for y9ou and it will cost around 50 bucks, 25 for the transfer and 25 for the priority us post office shipping.
First check with a california colleague but I urge you to call DOJ to be on the safe side
There are plenty of Calif forum members here so they can tell you what hoops to jump thru
