How to sell my Lincoln TC

Thanks for all the great suggestions; they paid off well.
My wife placed an ad on FaceBook MarketPlace on Tuesday and the TC sold on Wednesday. A local man saw the ad, loved the pictures saying they showed a clean car that was taken care of very well. He inspected it, dove it, and handed me cash for a few hundred less than asking price; such an easy deal.
Thanks again for all the help.

Yes, I sold the TC.

If you use one of the big online dealers — Carmax, Carvana, Vroom , etc. — you need to shop it around among them. Prices offered vary considerably, I guess depending on existing inventory. I've sold two cars that way, both for more than I paid for them.

It's been different driving a Subaru, certainly not as comfortable. However, gas mileage is better and it is easier to park.

I wont be selling mine any time soon.

Just yesterday I put on a new set of Cooper Evolution winter tires on it.

I'm ready for the winter now. ;)

In the days before Uber I used to always order a Town Car (the generic name for a car service) for trips from the office to the airport. Unlike filthy cabs, car services were impeccably clean, on time, and courteous. All the car services drove Lincoln TC's. Every time I asked a driver how many miles were on the car I was shocked. They were running these immaculate freighters with hundreds of thousands of miles. They just did regular maintenance (no cheating) and kept them clean. They were all concerned because they knew Ford planned to phase them out. Why do we always stop making stuff that works like pinned and recessed S&W's?

2011 was the last year for the Town Car.

2007 was the last year that they came off the same assembly line as the Lincoln Continental that was also discontinued in 2007.

2008-2011 they rolled off the same assembly line at the Ford Crown Vic and the Mercury Grand Marquis.

I'm keeping mine. Replaced so much stuff on it, only makes sense.

Facebook Marketplace. I have sold several vehicles that way. Lots of interest from throughout the US as well as easy communication when I was selling a fairly desirable Lexus a few years aback. The Lexus went to a local guy, but I had folks from a very wide area interested.

The linkage to a real person also helps make folks feel more comfortable in a deal.

I had a cousin recently buy herself a 1978 Chevy Impala for her 30 year old birthday. That was an old man’s car with about 50k miles in four decades.

A 2009 Town Car might fit into that hipster vibe with the younger crowd. Town cars also might resonate with a certain urban oriented demographic- cruiser clubs.

Any car can be donated to a church and you get a $5,000 tax deduction with no appraisal or paperwork necessary. If you want more than that you need to have a professional written appraisal.

My 2006 Lincoln Signature Limited Town car now has 75,000 miles. Still runs like new and gets 22+ mpg, @ 70 mph @ 2,000 rpm
Pearlescent color paint, cream color leather & all the bells & whistles. Great road car, very comfortable. These cars are bullet proof ! My heirs can sell it, but I won't ! Ed
