If God is willing I'll be celebrating my 65th birthday in about 3 weeks.
First, I really think I should buy myself another pistol or revolver for a birthday present to myself, because you can never have too many pistols, right? Another 3rd Gen. Smith & Wesson would be nice. Some affordable ammo would be nice too.
Second, I would really like to take my Wife out for a nice steak dinner. We haven't been to a restaurant since this Covid-19 mess started. My wife and I'll will have both had our 2nd Covid-19 shot by then. Hopefully we can start living a more normal life soon.
How would you all celebrate your 65th birthday or how did you celebrate it if you're already 65? Would you have done anything different?

I went out that morning and shot the Luger my dad left me. It's strictly special occasions. I shot it the first week of retirement too. Then I went to the golf course and shot 78. Enjoyed telling two of the golfers in my group how really old and feeble I've gotten when I hit driver past them. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner with Mrs. Sheepdawg, a few nips of Tennessee's finest, two Advil and passed out in the recliner.

Well, it may be a little late to start the hunt.

I had a nice party at my house.

My wife and children had this special cake made.

I was also able to get my birthday present just in time to celebrate my 65th birthday.

What you see in the picture is my Birth Day Gun.

Yes.

We both celebrated our 65th birthday together as we were both delivered from our respective 'factories' on the very same day.

Make it memorable, whatever you choose to do.

Best steak, nice bottle of wine, and, a dessert to die for.

Happy Early Birthday.:D

I think I had my one and only, just for me, birthday party, with family, friends, bluegrass music, and great food.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

I'll probably get up and go to work, then come home and relax for awhile and hit the sack. I'm not getting any younger, you know.

On a more serious note, I'm 61 in a couple of weeks. I found an Ego chainsaw with battery on sale for $200, so I ordered one. It's my birthday present to myself. I already have the mower, blower, edger, and string trimmer along with 2 batteries. The chainsaw on sale comes with a battery which would cost over $200 by itself, so it was a no brainer. Free shipping from Lowes.com, too.

For my 65th I'd love to get myself a Shadow 2 or whatever the equivalent is when the time comes.

Bought myself a Rock River Arms AR rifle. Thought it would be passed down but my sons in law and grandsons are getting into building their own.

A new addition to the S&W Gen3 collection along with some ammo and a steak dinner sounds great!

I spend my 65th vacationing in Antigua, Guatemala from our retirement house of nine years in Escazu, Costa Rica, Central America.

My wife and I were with two other ex-pat couples and enjoyed a steak dinner, an outdoor concert at one of the churches, and then shared a pizza, drinks, and good conversation before returning to our hotel. It was a great time on my special day.

Sounds Good to Me!

That sounds like a plan to me! :)

For my 70th birthday I bought an Apex Tactical Specialties S&W 625-8 JM .45 ACP revolver and it made me wish I had one many many years ago! :D

I've tried to forget birthdays after hitting 50. I'll be 64 this August...I think.

Told my daughter a couple years ago to not post anything on social media about my birthday.

Since being single my B Day ritual is a nice long bike ride with no destination, or a day at the beach alone.

None of my friends know when my B day is and my family is only in FL in the winter.

I turned 65 a month or so ago.
Didn’t do anything special. Told no one at work, friends, or anybody. My mother, wife, and stepson know when it is, and that’s it.
Tried not to even think about it, and was pretty successful at that.
For me, a birthday is just a reminder that I am another year closer to probably ending up in a care facility in pain, unable to shoot or do any of the other things I like to do any more.
Don’t like birthdays at all.

One of my daughters threw me a big 60th birthday.
My daughter had my favorite restaurant cater the party and a close friend
let us have the party in his game room.

That's my friend in the red shirt behind my daughter and SIL. He has about 20 pinball machines and a
few other "vintage" games.

My 65th was just another day of the week.

We went out to dinner a week later as my wife's Birthday follows mine by a couple of weeks. For me it was just another day.

I don't reward myself for milestones, if I can get a good deal on something I want, I am not waiting around for a birthday or Christmas.
