How would you celebrate your 65th birthday?

As I have no plans on retiring at 65, same as any other birthday.

I have no plans on retiring. I'm being paid pretty well where I'm at with a good insurance, but once the subject of my age popped up they've been talking about me training my replacement. This doesn't make me feel very warm and fuzzy. I might consider going back to being self-employed again after I have Medicare, but I'd really like to wait until I'm 67.

My ex boss is still working at my place part time at 75.

That would be perfect for the occasion if I could find one. I sold a stainless steel Ruger GP100 to a friend several years ago. I may try to buy it back. I found him a new one for $500 shortly after I sold him mine, so he has two of them.

If God is willing I'll be celebrating my 65th birthday in about 3 weeks.
First, I really think I should buy myself another pistol or revolver for a birthday present to myself, because you can never have too many pistols, right? Another 3rd Gen. Smith & Wesson would be nice. Some affordable ammo would be nice too.
Second, I would really like to take my Wife out for a nice steak dinner. We haven't been to a restaurant since this Covid-19 mess started. My wife and I'll will have both had our 2nd Covid-19 shot by then. Hopefully we can start living a more normal life soon.
How would you all celebrate your 65th birthday or how did you celebrate it if you're already 65? Would you have done anything different?

1. like it was my last one.
2. Make the biggest splash that you can, with due respect for others.
3. Defiantly buy yourself another revolver, or pistol.
4. For good measure buy a shotgun, and a rifle.
5. If you drink, buy a bottle of good liquor, and a bottle of good wine, and share them with discretion with your wife.
6. Forget the restaurant. It would undoubtably be filled with noisy, unruly children, and the Covid-threat. You'd also have to fight facemasks. Stay at home, and grill good steaks exactly as you prefer them, for your enjoyment.

Already did it, over eleven years ago. I played my first game of bocce, and my wife and I went out for dinner.

When I was turning 65 I hunted hard for the perfect gift. I had lots of options within my budget so I was looking for "that" gift that would commemorate the momentous event. When I saw this, I knew it would be THE gift 4 my 65th birthday.

Took me a while, but I remember. My pinochle group and wives went to a cook it yourself steak place for dinner. The group pitched in and gave me a bottle of Crown Royal XR.

I still have some of the bottle. Two good friends from that group died and I drank a toast to each of them. I might have had a sip on my 70th birthday also.
