I retired from NE Ohio up near Lake Erie in Oct. of 2012 and lived in Ohio my entire life. I had to escape the extreme cold and lots of snow and also it is much less expensive to live here in Eastern Tennessee by the Smoky Mountains. I have always loved the Smoky Mnts. and Gatlinburg. So here I moved near Gatlinburg in 2012 with my wife to spend the rest of my retirement years!

I just purchased my 1st firearm, mainly for self defense and home protection. I am now finding myself loving the shooting range!
I think I may have found a new itch now!
No regrets! :)

Welcome from Arkansas...retired from Memphis, Tennessee PD. My 5th great grandfather was the first sheriff of Sevier County and a signer of the 1796 Tennessee Constitution. Beautiful country in which to enjoy your retirement...have fun and be sure to visit Cades Cove and the Buckingham house.

Howdy ya'll from West Tennessee. Been to the park several times. Cades Cove, the drive up to Newfound Gap and the drive down to Gatlinburg, after the leaves and leaf watchers are gone in December (if no ice or snow and road is open) is my favorite. Most times traffic not bad. You didn't happen to buy the ranch just outside the park entrance at Cades that was for sale a couple years ago?:) Think the price was less than 2 million. Whole area is beautiful. I was born in Memphis in 1951 and flat is about all we have out here. Always be safe.

Welcome from a fellow E. Tennessean and former Sevier Countian...I lived in Gatlinburg from about 1978 - 1987.
These S&W's are addictive, as I'm sure you're beginning to see.
