New guy here from Oregon. Name's Phil. Owned S&Ws for 30 years. Got my first, a Spokane Police trade in 15, for $149 at the LGS. Grew up on them as my father had an old M&P with a 6" barrel and white plastic stocks. Prefer shooter grade guns to safe queens. While I can appreciate the fact that the gun you are selling has special factory features that make it one of a kind and it's unfired and it has the box and a letter etc. if there's a guy selling a scratched up gun of the same model with janky aftermarket grips that shoots good for half the money I'm buying his gun. But that's just me. :)

I like them too. I just don't want to buy them!:)
Seriously, I understand how one gets addicted to it. And it is important to save things for future generations. After all, how are they gonna appreciate Jerry Miculek if they've never seen a revolver?

Also if a guy tells me "I bought it new in 1958 and put it in the safe and it's sat there ever since." that's cool, but it don't get my motor running.
Now, if a guy says, "That was old Tom's duty weapon. Bob, you remember that time old Tom got drunk and dropped his duty belt in the outhouse? Had to go down there and fish around for 15 minutes. Said he wouldn't have done it and just reported it lost or stolen but the keys to the car were clipped to it." I really want that gun!:D
