Nice looking scope, but that's more or less standard cross hairs isn't it?
As opposed to sub-standard crosshairs???!!!
I would NOT buy that optic. Plain and simple; who makes it? Who does warranty service on it? Who does repairs on it?
To Krell's point- Amazon returns are basically only good with either known companies who have a return policy, or on immediate rejection; ie damaged in shipping, or the item not being what you thought upon opening.
After you open it, install it, and adjust it........ there are no more returns from 99.95% of anything bought on the internet which is not from a brick and mortar business.
I still fail to see why on earth a guy will look at an optic which 'looks' like what he wants to see on his rifle, rather than spending a whopping $20-40 more to get something that WORKS and is serviceable.
There should be no reason- ever- to pass on a Bushnell or Nikon at $160 to buy an unknown at $120. Even at $60; a scope which is jarred and does not hold zero from the recoil of the mighty .223 is not really going to work very well on a 22, or a BB gun for that matter.
UTG- stands for Under The Ground. Their stuff is that low.
I can not explain just how many optics we tested over the last 3 years when I was helping a friend who has an FFL and runs a small shop and does a lot of fun shows. We would get all kinds of folks saying "Put this optic on, put that optic on; it's great, blablabla....."
They would do all manner of failure. And I mean, every possible snafu you can imagine. No holding zero. No adjustment. No elevation. Or no windage. Reticles which go out every other shot. And then turn on magically after another shot or 2. Reticles which would twist inside the optic. Scopes which went blurry. Scopes which fog up just from you crowding the reticle a little with your eye. No rain, no fog. Scope goes from 3-9 power until you shoot with it; then it goes from 9 to 9, or 3 to 3........ The lit reticles have 5 settings. ALL of which are way too bright to actually see a target thru. And, for night hunting of varmints or hogs???? All you will see...... ALL you will see is a green mess, or a red mess, or any number of 34 different colors of mess which will block out any and all view of the creature you are trying to locate and shoot.
#1, first and foremost is scopes that simply will not dependably hold zero. These are 223. They are semi auto 223. The recoil is pathetic and weak. And you throw a fast 10 rounds thru it, and it's all over. It's now shooting 2feet wide, and a foot high. Well over 90% of the junk scopes do this. NcStar, UTG, Tasco, Barska, and the list goes on.
It got to where I would hand them back after test firing them, and the vendors would be upset with me for telling them we would not run them because they were faulty; ALL of them.
First argument was "Why is that? Did you mount them on a magnum of some kind? Yeeeahh.............. like I am wasting $1.75 a shot to send the 7mm mag ammo downrange with a cheap scope. Or, was I being a sadist, and lighting up $4 bills and my shoulder with the 338 RUM to knock the scope silly?? No. Would never even attempt such tomfoolery.
These optics will not hold zero from being bench fired. My hunting rifles all A: Kick a lot more than the AR, B: They have all taken the 'dirt road in the bed of the truck' test, and C: I think each one has been honestly DROPPED or fallen on more than once while actually hunting. And, they all hold their zero thru all of it.
Just buy once, and cry once.
There was a reason every guy in town told you about that one cheerleader who was the girl EVERY boy wanted to go out with on a Friday night. And, for good reason.

There is a good reason NO ONE has much positive to say about these junk optics.
