I’ve had AT&T internet and TV service (U-Verse) for around 15 years. I cannot complain about anything except the cost. But even so, it is not that much more than other services. And I can afford the difference. The dividends from my AT&T stock more than covers it.

The only thing I kept was the stock. It's actually been doing well.

Ah, dial-up. Wait for 15 minutes to get connected and about that long to download anything. And that catchy scratchy tune that played when you were trying to connect. I still somewhere have an old Radio Shack (remember them?) combination telephone and modem. I doubt if anyone under 35 has any idea what we had to go through back then.

I remember plugging my laptop (w/ built in modem!) into a phone jack to download my emails, then going off somewhere to read and write all my responses, and then returning to the phone jack to hook up and send my emails... At the time it seemed very high tech...

FWIW: We have Verizon Wireless and it works very well. I don't know how much coverage they have.
