I knew a guy with a 67 Road Runner in Red, his had a 383 (I'm thinking big block)

For today's wisdom infusion, #3, #4 & #5 are a matched set for the win!

Pete: Thanks for your time and effort!

1969 Plymouth Roadrunner

This was my car exactly. $2975 OTD

This was my car exactly, even the color, 1969 Dodge Super Bee 6 pack (440 3 deuces). To simply check the oil, etc. you had to pull the four pins on hood, remove the hood (fiberglass) after unhooking the air breather which attached to the hood scoop. In the cold of winter I would have to do this including removing the air breather, then pour about a quart of gas down middle carburetor, start the motor, jump out and put out the fires on motor and garage, ha then put everything back in place before you could drive off. Don't remember the price, but $2975.00 sounds like my first month's gas bill.

Ordered my 1969 Road Runner from the factory. Bronze fire metallic with the two black stripes down the hood. Black interior. no A/C, no power steering, and no power brakes. 4 speed with Hurst shifter and the sedan model, like shown. The coupe had rear windows that did not roll down, but the tail end popped out for ventilation. 383 Cubic Inches with 335 Horsepower.
Had 3 miles on it when it arrived at the dealer.
