Old man sitting on the porch whittling. Big dog laying next to him.

Insurance salesman comes up the walk. Asks "does your dog bite?"

Old man says, "nope" so the insurance salesman steps up on the porch. Dog viciously attacks the salesman. "Are you crazy? You told me your dog doesn't bite."

Old man says, "not my dog."

Traveling salesman was on some back roads in Arkansas taking a shortcut from one town to another.
He's doing about 35 mph and notices some chickens running along beside him in the bar ditch. He increases his speed to 40, 50, finally 60 mph and the chickens stay right with him.
The chickens suddenly shoot up a driveway to a farm house. He hits the brakes and turns around and heads up the driveway.
Old man sitting on the porch in his rocker. Salesman asks, are those your chickens that just ran up the driveway?
Farmer nods his head. Salesman says, well those chickens were running 60 mph next to my car.
Farmer says, yeah those are my 3 legged chickens.
For Sunday dinner, I wanted a drumstick, my wife wanted a drumstick and my son wanted a drumstick. Bred these 3 legged chickens so we only had to kill one.
Well, says the salesman, that is a fine idea. How do they eat?
Don't know says the farmer, haven't been able to catch one.

Tourist traveling mountain country sees a three-legged hog in a front yard, mountaineer on the porch. Tourist asks about the hog. Mountaineer says that's the most amazing hog. Sometime back, the house caught fire and the hog busts in the door and wakes us up, saved our lives.

Another time, a revenuer was after my still and the hog ran him off.

Tourist, "So why does he have only three legs?"

Mounteer. "Hog that smart, you don't eat him all at once."

A clergyman had just been assigned to a new church in a very rural area. One of his parishioners had just passed away and he was to perform the service at the cemetery. He was not familiar with the area so he asked one of the locals for directions. Getting directions from the local, which had instructions such as – “At the intersection where the barn burned down two years ago, turn left.” The preacher set off. After driving around, hopelessly lost, he spotted two guys with shovels filling in a hole. He got out and gave a resounding blessing and then got into his car and left. One of the workmen turned to the other and said, “That is the first time I have ever heard a blessing given at the installation of a septic tank.”

Several years ago my wife and I had a conversation similar to this one:

The wife and I were sitting around the breakfast table one lazy Sunday afternoon.
I said to her, "If I were to die suddenly, I want you to immediately sell all my stuff."
"Now why would you want me to do something like that?" she asked.
"I figure that you would eventually remarry and I don't want some other jerk using my stuff."
She looked at me and said, "What makes you think I'd marry another jerk?"

Two fishermen were talking. First one told about catching a 100 pound black bass in his neighbors pond on 4lb test line. Of course it was a world record bass. Also a world record for 4lb line. Took him 3 days to land it. Going round and round the pond. 2nd guy says he went fishing too. Hooked a big one. At first he thought he was hung up. Finally moved it some and was able to land it. Turns out it was a big rubber boot. Looked in the boot and found a Coleman lantern. And would you believe it? The lantern was still lit. 1st guy says, I would take 35 pounds off that bass if you will turn that damn lantern out.

Mother puts some meat in the garage freezer and then takes the kids to school. Gets home and notices the cat didn't meet her at the door. She goes back out to the freezer to get something and is horrified to see the cat in the freezer--frozen stiff!

Mom is in a panic as the kids simply love the cat. They will never forgive her for killing the cat. She calls the vet, explains what happened and asks what to do. Vet says to wrap the cat in warm blankets and see what happens. So she throws a blanket in the dryer for a few minutes and then wraps the cat in it. Half an hour later, the cat is thawed but still not responding. She calls the vet back.

Vet says to get an eye dropper and put a couple drops of gasoline in each nostril of the cat. Mom gets a dropper and does what the vet said. Suddenly the cat leaps into the air and runs around the room like crazy for a few minutes but then fall to the floor unresponsive. Knowing she'd have to get the kids from school in a short while, she once again calls the vet, told him how the cat had gone nuts for a few minutes and then just dropped dead. "What happened?" she asked.

Vet: "The cat is fine. It ran out of gas."

From right after the earth cooled;

A priest is walking down the street and observes a boy sitting on the curb holding a small bottle of thick, amber liquid up to the sun. He keeps turning it over to watch the bubbles float to the top.

Priest: "Whatcha got there, son?"

Boy: "the most powerful liquid on earth."

Priest: reaching into his pocket "it can't be. This is Holy Water. Two drops of this and a person can pass through the Pearly Gates."

Boy: "this is turpentine. Two drops of this on a cat's butt and it will pass a Harley."

Reminds me of this story.

Guy asks his wife if she would remarry if he died.

She said she was relatively young and probably would.

He asked if she would let him sleep in their bed.

She said, Well, it's a new and expensive one, so yes.

He said would you let him use my golf clubs?

She said, No, because he's left-handed.

To say that Henry was "hen-pecked" would be an under-statement. His wife Mildred was always on poor Henry's case about something. He had no peace and quiet in his life. One day Henry up and died and at the Gates of Heaven, he was met by St. Peter. St. Peter welcomed Henry and said that before he could let him enter, he had to spell one word correctly. Henry was worried because he was never very good in school and Mildred never let him read much. He told St. Peter, OK, he'd try. St. Peter said spell, love. Henry said OK and said "L, O, V, E." St. Peter welcomed him in and then asked if Henry could watch the gate because St. Peter had been there all day and need a bathroom break.
Henry was sitting there and low and behold, who appeared at the gate, none other than Mildred. As soon as she saw him, she went into a tirade about how he should have fixed the brakes on the car. She ranted and raved on and on. Then she wanted to know why he was at the gate and where was St. Peter. Henry explained he was filling in for St. Peter who had to leave for a while. She told Mildred that he could let her in but she had to pass the spelling test. If she spelled the word correctly, she could get in but if spelled wrong, she'd have to "go down below." She sniffed at Henry and said, "What is the word?" His reply was "Czechoslovakia!"

Three old men were sitting around talking of their ills.
First guy, I’m bad off. I have to get up every morning at 4:00 am to pee.
Second guy, that’s nothing. I have to get at 5:00am to sit on the commode.
Third guy, I have to do both at 7:00am.
Others, what’s wrong with that?
Third guy, I DONT GET UP UNTIL 9:00am.

Three old ladies in Miami are having lunch, and the conversation turns to their various ailments...

"My eyesight is so bad, I can barely see my hand in front of my face!" says the first.

The second chimes in: "My hearing is awful...I'm almost deaf!"

Says the third: "My reflexes are shot...it takes me forever to move my arms and legs!"

The first one says: "Well, girls, look at the bright side: At least we can still drive!"
