I happened to shoot a model 19-3 with Hurst stocks the other day and noticed an uncomfortable difference from my Hogue's. I found that my middle finger rested on the palm swell where the screw escutcheon is. On my more comfortable Guy Hogue or Hogue monogrips I found the swell & escutcheon to be between my fingers as well as to the rear of the stock. This appears to be consistent with other Hurst stocks. Farrants also appear to lay the escutcheon between the fingers.
