Why have all that data on a phone, where it can be hacked? My phone already has a calendar feature and a clock and I can remember holidays and birthdays, etc.

I try to minimize what I have on the phone or computer. I do have a compass feature, although my briefcase also holds a Silva compass.

I do not bank by phone or computer. Many do. I suppose they trust electronics more than I do.

If it is using Wi-Fi to receive the data it's basically nothing but a smart TV without the television options. I have a Chromecast plugged into a cheap digital TV. I can watch TV on it, display things from my computer on to it, and stream from the Internet to it. If I'm not actively watching it, it is set to show the time, outside temperature, and it scrolls high-def images from Google images. It can be controlled from my computer or my smartphone. A Chromecast runs about $35. It plugs into an unused HDMI slot in any TV. Digital TVs are quite inexpensive these days.

No, but I think we have that base covered. Watch the video. The trick is to get Devon to come over and make your cookies. (She has a boyfriend, as well as a heavy modelling schedule.) But if you have a wife or daughter, she can look at the video and follow the directions. Or, you can just enjoy the video and go to the store for the cookies. I have to. I'm too lazy and too inept to bake. I just like watching Devon.

Some electronic gadget that works to display your pictures and the weather and VS model Devon Windsor baking chocolate chip cookies. I'm not sure that you can get Devon's video blogs on the electronic gadget.

This thread is making me crave cookies. I'm going to get some tomorrow, but oatmeal-raisin-cranberry ones. It's been a while since we had a cookie thread here...may be time for a new one.
