I have a CS45 and was perfectly happy. Then I ran across a 6904 on this forum and was perfectly happy, but you guys kept bragging about the 3913 and 14.
I saw one at the gun show this weekend. It had a spare mag and the box. Picked it up, got an interesting price on it from the vendor. Regained my sanity, put it down, and went home. Got on the net and found out it was about $100 below the starting bid on the big site.

Went back to the gun show hoping somebody had been smarter than me, but it was still there.

Went out in the country in a snow flurry and found a rock about the size of a pool ball about 10 yards away.. Hit it double action and hit one of the fragments single action.. It will have to pass a few more tests, but I know it shoots where I point it.

Don't by any chance one of you has a spare left side manual safety hidden away in your box of treasures do you?

I had the first Model 59 in Wyoming and traded it off for something back in the 70's.
I managed to be happy with revolvers until I got to reading this durned forum and ran across the CS45 about a year ago.

You guys been peckin' at my common sense ever since.

Nice job on the 3914. You are going to like it even more. But...
they are soo big, you better look into a CS9 to go with your CS45.;) (You can then “blame” us again.)

Again, I was perfectly happy with a couple of smaller plastic handled 9mms starting with K and R, but you guys ain't helpin' a bit.

And so it begins.

From someone who has progressed much farther down that ruinous road, a word of advice...

DO NOT follow the advice of the others, your next purchase MUST NOT be a CS9 or a shiny 3913 or any other of these guns...

BUY A BIGGER SAFE!!!!

I blame everyone on this forum for half the purchases that I have made in the last three years.........!!!! And I am not alluding to 3 or 4 S&W revolvers but in excess of ......... maybe around 20.......!!
I have actually lost count. Not to mention the 1953 year Combat Masterpiece and 1971 Nickeled Combat Magnum that I am buying from a friend and have yet to take delivery on........

And smiling all the way. Now its flashboxes & better lighting, it never ends8. But we don't want it to, because its a hobby. Don't they let hobby farms have tax break too? Rags, lube, cleaning supplies are deductible. I need a new press as this hear one is too slow. Need books & supplies so we can test and sell loaded ammo to each other.

UNFORTUNATELY---THE ONLY FIREARM RELATED DEDUCTIONS THAT I HAVE MADE, IN MY 60 YEARS IN THE SHOOTING GAME, HAVE BEEN MADE FROM MY WALLET.....

I’ve become friends with another forum member in my area and we enjoy sharing “the hunt”. I’ve bought several guns he found but didn’t need, including one last Saturday. When he told me about that one, I mentioned I’d just mailed a check for another gun a few days before.

He asked what it was and I seriously couldn’t remember. I guess that’s not a good sign.

Oh wow! Now, that is BAD! :p

It's been said that if you can name every 3rd Gen you own, you don't own enough...

... but not being able to remember one you just bought and haven't even received yet is truly scary! :D :D :D

I spent 13 years in LE and only needed two handguns.. A 58 and a 36.
We moved to the ranch, I gave Itchy the 36 and got a 28.
I was happy for 20 years with those two.
We moved back to town and I discovered the internet and this place.
I now have over 20 S&Ws. I decided it is time to thin the herd and have sold 6 revolvers in the last year. Then I ran across the CS45 and came looking for info on this forum. Since then the herd has increased with 2 more Gen 3 guns.

It didn't help Sunday that I had sold a nice handgun to a friend on Sat and had some fresh cash smoldering in my pocket either.

This forum has cost me a lot of money. But it’s some of the cheapest fun I’ve ever had. Keep seeing things that I have to get one for myself. Along with the cheap fun, the education I’ve received here is priceless so it’s really a win win.
