I Built A Time Machine. You Get The First Trip.

Cool fantasy. Can I take some gear? Rifle & ammo (for game), axe and fire starter? If so, I'd like to be on the east side of the Rockies at about 1000 AD. I'd take a long walk to the other side and see the entire continent unspoiled by humans.

if i could go back id love to be in the multitude that Jesus and his deciples fed with the 5 loves and two fishes. Just to meet my savior face to face before i get to my place he has prepared for me in heaven.

I am surprised no one wants to go into the future. I don't want to, but I am surprised no one else wants to.
1934 for me. I would like to hang out with my Grandpa and uncles.

I'd go back to 1969 for some good music, "free love", cool Detroit Muscle and reasonably priced S&W's. If I couldn't come back my family would still be around and being from the future I could invest wisely and live pretty well...

Ditto that. Just got finished watching The Greatest Story Ever Told, for the upteenth time. Couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Next up King of Kings. Then Jesus of Nazareth.

A thread that makes one wonder.....

I would love to go back to Detroit in the 1920's in its heyday, and see my Grandparents when they came over from Germany, and started a new life.
Would I change my destination? Absolutely NOT! :)

I would go back to the 60s and listen to the Beatles when they were performing in Hamburg and in the Cavern Club in Liverpool. I would like to get a garbage truck and run over Yoko Ono before John Lennon could meet her. Then I would buy Ferrari racing cars that were no longer competitive and dirt cheap.

HMMMMM

Howdy,
Opening night at the Colosseum.
That or back to my 16th birthday and stay. There is not much I would change, but there are a few things I would or wouldn't do over if I could.

As one of the crewmen on the Bounty that stayed in Tahiti. Maybe I'm thinking of such things because it's snowing up here again.

Take me back a couple of days ago to before the last Powerball drawing.

I don't want to actually go back in time. What I would like is a video camera on which I could set the time and date, point it at a location, and have it record what happened there on that time and date.

I'd go back to high school and listen to those nerds who were walking around with shoe boxes full of punch cards and mumbling words like "Fortran" and "Cobol".

Yeah. Go to the future, find out how you died, and avoid it to give yourself a few more years. Unless it was natural causes.
Oh. And write down the cure for cancer and come back and patent it.

1977-my favorite year.I was 33 years old then,living in a lake town,lots of girls,lots of fun! ;)

SWMBO and I have discussed the scenario of going back into the past and correcting all the dumb things we did, but came to the conclusion we would have never met or wouldn't have even liked each other if we did meet, had it not been for all the mistakes we made, so we wouldn't change a thing if we had the opportunity.

As for going into the future, based on what we see unfolding before our eyes, we are both glad that we won't have to endure much of it.

One of my grandfathers died before I was born, the other died when I was 2. I would like to go and spend a day talking to them on a back porch.

50/50,probably not, I have a family. If I were single? Yeah, and if I am stuck in the 70's I could live with that.
