I can see why the military is having a difficult time keeping people

Affirmative.
My guess is the current working generations will breathe a sigh of relief as we Boomers pass (sniveling) into history.

And then they will replace us and have to deal with the mess they've created for themselves.

I work on a military installation. I see the wokeness everyday.

The problem starts at the top. From the commander in chief to the the service member. It's not just the young.

Officers and senior NCO's are more-so guilty.

I've had officers and senior NCO's look me in the eye and say……
"Whatever you need"
"I'm on it"
"We'll get you squared away "
"I'm tracking that"

And I never hear from them again. A man can't even keep his word. And I bothers me that a military man would do so.

I work with ten other veterans. We are all concerned about our ability to fight and protect. Very concerned.

Very smart buddy was ranting about "check the box" officers a while back. My buddy had been headhunted from retirement to deal with something that was not going to be fixed quickly. He gets well into the job and receives a missive that the project will be declared complete at a certain date. Turns out the assigned date would fit neatly with the departure of a certain senior officer so he could put "I did that" (HA!!!) on his resume. There was no way to complete the job properly, and the whole deal annoyed my buddy to the point he jacked it in saying, "I can't work with these idiots anymore".

Something is very different now than in the past. Very anti-American
sentiment being taught in schools and many of younger people
are buying in. Never happened in the past.

The military is not intended to be a social experiment. The services exist so that, when necessary, our nation can break things and hurt people expediently as a means of protecting our national interests.
Exactly.
The 'system' is the rock that egos and individuality are broken against. You won't change it and you won't beat it by whining. When you are thrown against the rock, figure out how to dig under, go around, or climb over. You'd be surprised how many clerks and NCOs are eager to show you how clever they are when you ask "How can I beat this?" Sometimes, you might want to do them a "favor". :D ;););)
