I can't not watch Hunt for Red October

I have seen it so often that I always think, "I don't need to watch it again." Then my fingers just push the remote and I think "I'll just watch a little."

You guessed it, the next thing you know they are running the credits.

I still can't pin point the reason it catches me up every time!

The movie was very good, but the book was better IMHO.

I've never enjoyed a movie if I've read the book it's based on first. I constantly compare the book to the movie, instead of just enjoying the movie.

When the it came out, I was on a DD in Charleston NC in 1991.
The weapons Dept. officer came to quarter's and said to Fox divison
that the movie was being shown in the theater in town. He said that asked you can not confirm nor deny anything in the movie.
The guy's said "let's see the movie Master Chief!"
So, I went and saw it with them on Friday night.
All I can say is where did the writer get some of his info from.......
