I could really need some positive thoughts

very good news.........

i too use mine for alarms

they sleep on back of sofa at front window facing street

if they start....i get up and look..usually a cat

That is good news as it is very treatable. Hopefully, that was brought on by the pain medication and hopefully, that is what stressed the kidneys. I would still have a little caution, however, because losing 30% of body weight is pretty drastic and there could be something else going on. I hope that is not the case and your little Ceasar is running around enthusiastically very soon! Get well, Ceasar! ♥ ♥ ♥

Back from the vet...Blood drawn from his front legs and the verdict is in..

Probably gastritis, the pharmacy had pills so we could start giving him that right away, but the kidneys have elevated levels.

Back for more testing in three weeks :(

Great news so far. Glad Caesar's back home. You don't say how old he is? Any kidney problems bear watching closely, so the three-week recheck is a good decision by Caesar's doctor. Hopefully he will improve rapidly.

Thanks for the update!

Thank's
The vet said that levels should stay between 2-9, Cesars level is 10
If they don't drop within 3 weeks..... it's "lights out" :(
But not if we can help it, looking for better food as i type.

He is only 6.5 year and should have at least 6 more years in him.

I also got a call from the "animal protection" (he had two reports that we hurt our pets)
I set him straight about our animals, and what happend online.
And that we did what we can for our pets. Even our rescued cat.

He recomended that we should take legal action against the "Troll"
My spouse did some stalking on her (online) and aparently she is nuts, like for real nut's

Good for Cesar.
Looks like he thinking "ain't nothing we can't fix boss."

Funny thing about small dogs.
They're either as good as a dog can be or only good for field goal practice.

I live in an area where raising Christmas trees is a large part of our economy. For years, a woman wrote into the local paper about all of the poisons being released into the land. Now I enjoy clean air and water as much as any tree hugger, it just doesn't seem to be the problem that this woman seemed to think. In one letter, she had added the title "Reverend" to her name. Not sure where that came from.

Haven't heard from her in a while, thank goodness.

You didn't ask for advice, but I'll offer some anyway.

I wouldn't be so quick to accept this "lights out" scenario if no improvement is seen within three weeks, and hopefully your veterinarian didn't phrase it like that to you.

I'll agree with you that at only 6.5 years of age, Caesar should have years and years left in his life. I asked my vet and some head veterinary techs I know, and all of them say that three weeks is often too soon to see major results/improvements in dogs with kidney problems or kidney disease...especially one as young as Caesar. They also say that if one treatment regimen doesn't work all that well, try a different one.

And if it were me, I'd concentrate on my dog's health...and totally ignore any online B.S. stemming from any sort of so-called "social media".

I hope things work out for you and Caesar.

Need not worry Watchdog, we won't go without a fight :D

Kidney problems can be very hard on a small dog, that is why the vet recommended "the needle" :(

Looking for better food to lower the levels as we speak :D

By the way.. i have talked to the police and filed a report. She had a fake profile on FB but my spouse is a genealogist and spent 2 hours online
Got here real name and address which we gave the investigator, She offered my spouse a job right away :D GAME ON

Thank's to every one.
Cesar is the name he goes by, i hope that this is a side effect on some painkillers he's had.
The former owner gave him a slipped disc (she was our neighbor) and we had to give him drugs for that.
Might have been to strong for his stomach? I don't know yet, but he is of to the vet now.
He has started to eat some, but is still very weak.

Unfortunately my daughter posted a cry for help on FB,
so now we have a "Troll" badmouthing us and trying to get us banned for having pets.

The vet know's the truth and is backing us up though.

I'll get back to night when i know some more,
THANK YOU for all your support.
We really need it now.

People can be really terrible sometimes, Trolls have a well deserved bad name!
I send your little dog Cesar my prayers for a speedy recovery, and many long years left with his caring master and family! :)

I hope the pup recovers soon.

In my part of the world, they should be considered a state animal since they're very common here & we do border their native land.

Oh indeed. I joke we have two seasons here; HOT & HOTTER! Chi's do shiver a lot...even in the summer it seems.

...my wife and I were eating burgers and fries at the lake...we threw some fries out to the birds...the woman in the next car got out and shooed the birds away...and picked up the fries while mumbling something about Junk Food and Cholesterol under her breathe...

In my part of the world... they wish they never left Mexico :D

He really HATES winter the poor thing

:D Reminds me of a family that came through my line at work yesterday with a Chihuahua puppy. The thing was no bigger than a baby rat. It was shivering as if sitting on a large block of ice. That's what seems to happen when one has no natural fur coat to keep ones self warm--well--a fur cat that aint worn to bare threads anyways. :D The wife was cuddling it against her chest trying to keep it warm--yesterday like today here-is very warm. I joked and said their dog is shivering like it was freezing (they not getting the wee joke) said it was only frightened. Then the woman suddenly laughed and said she'd never thought of it the way I described and said she would use that from now on-then all laugh. I thought: "Well, it REALLY wasn't meant to be THAT funny, but to each their own." Sandy's fur is kinda thick, but she still gets cold and I wake to find her either sleeping under me sheets snug against me back, or when she allows me to fall asleep in front of the TV? I have a robe on with a large towel over that covering my lap and legs, because of her sharp claws-in order to keep her from shredding my legs while I nap. That cat STILL finds her way under both.
