well....i went to my local gun dealer today to pick up a very nice 27-2 that i had put on layaway...the owner goes in the back to get the 27-2...but...he also brings out a beautiful 24-3 4" 44 special...gulp....price tag of $750.00...i get him down to $650.00 and i caved in...the gun appears to have been fired..but very little...seems to be that is is a somewhat scarce gun at least to the extent that they aren't on every dealers shelf and again..remarkable condition....looks like i'll have a date next week to again try to pick up the 27-2!

I don't feel the least bit sorry for you. A 27-2 AND a 24-3, 4", WOW!

Last year I bought a "new" m15-4, nickle snubby. A couple of months later, I figured it was too nice to shoot, so I bought an identical gun with a little nickle flaking off the cylinder.

Now, I have one for looking at and one for shooting.

Congrats on your find! 2 great Smiths in one day.

My wife put me on a strict 1 year "No More Guns"! probation for 1 year of living heck. Bout killed me but I managed a CS-3 and a new holster for my efforts as Christmas gifts.

A hard headed and determined woman can bring your spending sprees on S&W's to a rapid halt with cruel and unusual punishment methods if you know what I mean.

Now I HAVE to have another .41 mag to round out the lengths. 8 3/8 in nickel.

Praying Mantis, Black Widow Spider, Wife. The only difference is the wife kills the male slowly over the years.

My wife has had me on the ole' 1 gun a year diet for several years now...of course, like all diets...deviation is expected.

LOL...it is a beauty!problem of course is...when i go back for the 27-2...there is a 6" 686 that seems to be calling my name

you guys need to get these wife problems looked into and fixed. what do you mean,1 year without buying a gun?

After years of my gun-buying being a hotly-debated issue, she finally agreed that she could live with me budgeting $3000/year for guns, no questions asked... I can live with that! :-)
