I stopped into the LGS a few days ago and they had just received a Model 15-4 2" trade in with a nice SafariLand RH holster with the thumb snap. Since I just got my 1st ever Model 15-3 4" last month, I had to be the first one to look at ANOTHER Model 15 that I didn't have. It's not as clean as my 15-3 4" but it looks good, it has a few marks on the cylinder and very slight holster wear on the muzzle. Stocks are beautiful. It has a blue Tyler grip which makes it feel great. I ran it through the function tests and it was perfect. The trigger was awesome also. Gun and holster only, no box, tools or paperwork. I put this 2" snubbie back on layaway. Yes, the S&W addiction bit me again!
From doing some searching here on other Model 15 date threads, this might be an 80's model. The S/N is 78K366n
Any idea on how old this one is? I've read here that Model 15 2" models are harder to come by so that's why I snagged it for $600 OTD price. I was happy with the price and couldn't pass it up.
