I do firmly believe in miracles. I think two just happened this morning.

"The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."'
(Numbers 6:24-26)

The Lord does hear and answers every prayer. Sometimes the answer "Yes," sometimes it's "No" and sometimes it's "wait."

Paul tells us to "Pray without ceasing" in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

I pray He will continue to bless you, my friend I've never met.

You hang in there Carl! The power of prayer will see you through. You have a lot of good friends in here and we are here for you. God can't ignore all of us!

Never give up hope as long as you hang on and keep tryin' you can make it. That big break you a re looking for could happen any minute. You just can't see what's coming just around the corner. Keep your faith and keep on keepin' on. To quote a line from Josey Wales by Chief Dan George, Endeavor to persevere."

And you needn't send me anything. Your continued friendship is all I require. I would truly feel a lot better if you would use your resources to help Shasta and Sabrina...and to replace the guns you had to sell.
God bless.

Hang in there!

Sorry to hear about your little friend's troubles. Take care of God's gifts, in the forms of Dogs & Cats. We spent the last two years of our last dog's life, a little Min Pin, giving her two insulin shots two times per day. It was a small price to pay, repaying Rosie's Total love that she gave to my wife, and I. God allowed us to share her Love and devotion for 12 + years, and I don't regret one bit of the time spent in taking care of her needs, after she developed diabetes. It's been over two years, since we lost our little friend, and I still can't get over her loss. Enjoy your pets while you can. I've had five dogs, and Two Cats in my 86 years, and enjoyed them all. Hang in there! You won't be sorry.

Carl,

Wonderful news, and so happy that Shasta is doing better!! Our furry friends are a priceless part of our tenure here on earth, and I know the anguish that we feel when they have seemingly incurable maladies.

The Home Depot job is another heaven sent blessing, and I'm sure that all of us out here are rooting for you.

Best Regards, Les

Thank you. Im especially trying to give thanks for what God did for me on Thursday-and hope after im in a better position--that I can finally give something back--and to the needy as well.

I forgot to mention, early thurs afternoon--I donated two large boxes of mostly new clothes that out-grew ma. For a couple of months--I tried selling them to those who buy garage sales-resale shops etc. Not a one of them came through--and I made a promise that I was going to donate them anyway-job or no job. I guess it was meant to be on donating? I probably could have got $30--from selling them but, more satisfaction that I donated. Well, I donated-then had my interview on Friday, and I got rewarded.

Thank you Jack, and in the least--id love to have a phone conversation with you some time when I get to know my pending schedule. A lot of you all here are friends that I also wish that I had met much sooner. As Hondo kinda said: "Good friends (shirts) are hard to come by" just before he knocked Ed Lowe (Leo Gordon) on his ashcan.:)

I needed a good western reference--and that is greatly appreciated.:D

Thank you, and I hope I can look after her properly while I have her. Shasta is an equal in my thinking--like the daughter I do not have. I am glad you had at least 12 years with yours. I wish everyone could enjoy many more with their pals. I am very grateful to have had her 14 years so far--but would be better satisfied if im granted a few more human years with her. All I know-is I will have her cremated-then when its my time-she will be mixed with my ashes.

Thank you Les, you are one of about a dozen here I feel really close with and am grateful for your helping words. Shasta seems to be in better spirit-but still a long way from her old self. Her eating is sporadic--and I know she wants to be in my lap, just something not quite right and its keeping her from it. Last night she stayed on the back of my chair for about an hour I guess? Then spent maybe the same in my lap.

^^^^^^^Thank you. After 14 years--im rusty as heck but, the head cashier seems to be very nice and patient.
