I do not think that it is any big secret.

There are two guns on my wish list that I've been trying to find for years. A 5" blue 3rd Model .44 HE aka Wolf & Klar and a Model 35 J-frame 6" .22. On the very rare occasions that I have run into one of these, it seems that the timing was just off. Either the asking price was far more expensive than I was willing to pay or I was short of cash at the time.
I know they're out there. I just have to be patient until the stars align just right.

520, 646, any 5 or 6" DX, 1950 military 44spl.

& that ever elusive unicorn of a fixed sight 44 mag

Nothing I have to have, & nothing I will overpay for; but,my 58, 8.38" DX, & 610 would like some company. Seems I got into the fixed sight collecting a bit to late, and now... they're really pricey.

There is always something to add and just when you think you are getting close you make a change. There are I J K L N and all the autos. Yeas ago I tried to collect ever target version from the 70s and 80s. Then in 2010 I sold most of them and now trying to buy models made post war through the mid-60s. There is always something.

Mine is still pretty long:

Registered Magnum .357
Mod 27 .357 Magnum, 4"
Mod 24 .44 Special, 4"
Mod 57 .41 Magnum, 6"
Mod 29 .44 Magnum, 6"
Mod 442 .38 Special

Don't think I'll find them all.

I Truly Want a 29-2 unfired

in a mahogany box with original paperwork and cleaning tools still in the plastic bag unbroken.

The gun and the box would look like this:

My 27-2.

I'd want the barrel original in 8 & 3/8" for the 29-2.

btw if anyone has or knows of this I'd be willing to spend a few thousand.

But I'm not pitching for fun. I really want one and I will be able to tell if it is Brand New In The Box left alone untouched unfired red ramp front white outline rear original imprinted SW Goncalo Alves.

Give it to me! Sock it to me! That is the gun I want next for sure.

Thanks for this post!

I am at the point that I just look for something that strikes me just right.

But if I could find a nice "U.S.A.F." marked Model 15, preferably with a 2" barrel...
