I don't own a single 9mm...

Not anti but, I have no use for .380, .40 or 9mm.

And why is that? Just curious. Do you still pack a government model 1911 when you are wearing your bermuda shorts in the summer?

Let me chime in with every one else.

As I'm getting older, I'm simplifying. Limiting calibers. In pistols I have .22lr, 9mm, .38spl/.38sc/.357mag/.357max, .45acp, & .44mag. And in rifles they're all either 22lr, .223/5.56 or .308/7.62.

That's limiting the calibers? Well that's down about 6 from what I use to have 5 years ago.

(Oh don't count the odd, throw down Mosin or the 30/30 lever. Or my granddads lemon squeezer in .32 ;) )

I only have one 9MM, an old Ruger P95 I inherited from a friend. But I have lots of others...just counting the other day I have 9 revolvers that can handle .38 (a couple are 357s), several in 45Colt, a couple more in 45ACP, a couple .380, several 22, a 22mag, even a .25auto *** that someone gave my wife. I may add another 9MM in the future as I do like the cartridge and feel that anything used by the military makes it an easy one for ammo availability. I do have one .40 as well, which shoots quite nicely.
The shotguns are either 12 or 20, but the rifles are chosen for specific uses, deer, elk, oryx, antelope, pig, etc. So they are all over the board!!

hoc9sw, prayers sent.
so if 9mm ammo has improved so much that it is equal to 40 cal, 45 cal, does that mean that no manufacturer did any upgrades to 40 cal?
Have 38, 380, 9,357, 40cal in pistol.

I waited about 35 years to buy a 9mm luger pistol. I purchased a CZ85DB.
AWESOME pistol.

The 40 never interested me. I have the 7.62 tokarev .380acp, 9mm makarov, 9mm luger, 9mm largo, 32acp, 45acp.

I don't care for lesser stopping power the 9mm but I have them. The craze in the 9mm pistols was the capacity.

Wearing shorts? I just started wearing shorts. I have a ugly leg I cover up. I make every doctor/surgeon cringe. First it slammed a big bumper on an old car, then I was run over by my tractor. I just purchased those under knee brace socks. At 64yo I'm no six pack more of a 30 pack lmao

Own six 9mm's.
2 - sd9ve's
1 - glock 17
1 - glock 19
1 - caracal f
1 - sar k2p
Also have and sw mp 22, ruger sr22, and hp 22

Basically the 9mm is becoming the new 22lr (with availability and price).

Only 1 9mm. Springfield P9 LSP. Quite frankly the most accurate handgun I've ever shot.
Carry Bodyguard 380 or Glock 27. Mostly the 27, love the subcompact 40 cal.

I'm a .44/.45 fan, but have more .38s and 9s than .44s and .45s.
I have no use for a .40.
9mm brass gets stuck inside .40 brass in the tumbler.
.40 brass gets stuck inside .45 brass in the tumbler.
All three get stuck and create quite the cluster-F.

Lately, my SR9 has been my most carried auto.
I can't make it malf.

Every semi-auto I currently own(4 Glocks) are all 9mm.

Booo! Hiss!

JK.

I haven't had a 9mm in about a decade. Looking forward to a 9mm carry gun soon. I'll then have 22lr, 9mm, 40S&W, 45ACP, 38spl, and 357 magnum in handgun calibers.

The wife wants to add a 380 and that's okay, too.

It doesn't hurt to diversify. I like having the caliber that best suits the particular gun.

I went for about 35 years without owning a 9 mm after trading my S&W M39 and my Belgian Browning Hi Power to a friend and a couple of years ago I got the itch again and now I have four 9 mm's. Funny how things work.

I didn't own a 9mm for years but after some muscle loss I found the caliber more to my liking so I made a near complete caliber change. I still have a dandy collection including .22s, .22LR, .32, .38, 9mm, .41, .45acp, and .44 mag. No .40 or 357 SIG anymore....too snappy for my poor little wrists.
