I have been looking for a nice 3913 or maybe even a 908 for the last couple of years and I finally found one. I have seen several possible candidates over the last few month but they all had more wear and scratches than I had in mind. This one looks about 95%+ and the parts inside don't tell of very many rounds fired. On Friday I fired 100 rounds of my reloads and every shot went downrange with no failures of any kind. I am thoroughly pleased! As many of you already know, the 3913 is very nice to shoot, accurate, easy to point, and generally quite pleasant. My old 5906 now has S&W company in the gun cabinet. It's certainly a shame that S&W can't find a reason to make and sell these great 3rd generation pistols any more.

Have owned a 3914 for many years and feel it is one of the best possible choices for carry - great pistol!

Beautiful 3913. Are you keeping the grips or going with the Hogue hardwoods?

I have not handled a 3913 with Hogue wood grips but on my 5906 I find they are much wider than the S&W grips. I don't want to make my 3913 any wider. One of the reasons I like it so much is that it is very thin.

Stay with the factory stocks. If you need just a bit more to hold on to, get a Hogue or Pachmayr rubber-band thing and add it to the grip. It actually works very well and only adds little bulk.

I replaced the factory Hogue rubber stocks on my 4040PD with factory 3913 stocks and the Hogue Handall, or whatever silly name they call it. It has been a good combination on that gun, since the 4040 has a bit more recoil.

That's a great looking example you found there and I agree with you that it makes one of the better guns of its type for an armed citizen. Though others will bemoan them, I like having both the thumb safety and the magazine disconnect.

Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? I looked a long time also and finally found a 3914. As of now I'm looking for another. Enjoy and have fun.

Congrats! Very clean example of the 3913.

They are a joy to shoot and to carry.

Very nice find. Everyone who has handled and shot my 3913 has fallen in love with it so far, and is a great pistol when you want something light, slim, and dependable.

i recently bought a 3953 and love it! great design, fun to shoot!

Grrrr... I too yearn for a 3913/3914... How's the trigger on that 3953 there mpi?

I lurked on here for many years and everyone always talked how much they loved the 3913. I finally bought one and it was bye-bye Glock and Sig. It is CCW carried about 90% of the time while my 4566 or Model 65 take up the 10%. You will love it!

pretty smooth, but otherwise a typical smith DAO. which is to say quite nice!

That is a very nice one. It looks new. I have two police trades and like them very much. One won't be enough. Then I got 2 6906s and 2 5906s
