Hello to all. I hope someone can direct me to a video to take my hand ejector apart for a thorough cleaning and inspection. It is in very good shape, nickel about 90%+. 4 1/4" bbl w/ excellent bore. Recently I replaced broken strain screw. I saw some old oil residue inside, want it clean when I button it back up. Thanks for the help. Mike

Do not know of any videos out there, but David Chicoine's book titled Antique Firearms Assembly and Disassembly, has a section on the early Model 1903s that is helpful. Also, if you can find a video of a Model 1905 M&P, it would be almost the same thing, except for the fact that the 1903 is smaller.

The best gunsmithing book on the Model 1905 was a paperback done by Jerry Kuhnhausen, titled The S&W Revolver A Shop Manual. Both books should be available online if you search.

Elroy can offer this video example by Larry @ Midway:

There are other more detail examples. Such as this one, if you can endure the lecture

While these examples are not specific to your I-Frame, Elroy trusts these are helpful to your project

The nice thing about working on an I-frame is that is basically a little K-frame and can be worked on pretty much the same way. Of course it is the pre-War style, and sometimes this gives people a little problem, but that's also pretty much the same as the bigger models. Look for instructions for a Victory Model and you should be headed in the right direction.
