I-Frame "Cokes"

I don't want to be accused of thread-jacking, so I'm bringing this post over to start my own. What do others of you think of my idea and Dave's response?

I'm in favor of any grip on any revolver that will make it shoot better for its owner. I-frame "cheek pieces" (to use the term I just learned from an old S&W patent) that are thicker overall and have a pronounced palm swell in addition, together with a really large grip adapter behind the trigger guard, might make these small revolvers easier to shoot. They might also make them pretty unattractive to look at, so that's a downside. I have found that the original two-screw extension stocks coupled with a grip adapter make for an almost comfortable grasp for my mid-size hands. Big palm swell -- "cokes," if you will -- would be a plus.

Yeah, a snubbie or a 3" with a big ole pair of Cokes would look downright weird, but a properly scaled set on a 6" HFT, or even one of the 4" Regulation Police (especially Target) Models would just be too cool. Witness Dave's "J-Cokes." I think that profile over the front grip frame and behind the trigger guard would make it much more shootable/manageable.

I like 'em! Those would look great on one of my Chief's Special Targets or 34's. Maybe I'll talk to KB and get a set for myself.
