Well, sort of. :D

It's a wood puzzle made by ROKR. Something like 250 pieces and yes, assembly IS required. Lots of assembly! It shoots rubber bands, up to 12, and fires them all in full auto. In addition to that, wood dowel pieces representing spent shell casings, are spit out the side as well. Pretty neat!

Don't let the Feds find out you have a full auto rubber band shooter. You might be in big trouble. Plus, it holds over 10 bands.

When I was a kid I had a Thompson water gun that looked very much like the real thing. Except it was about half-scale. It held a lot of water and put out a good stream. My favorite toy gun was an O/U Pirate Cap pistol. I liked it because I could drop a firecracker down each barrel and light the fuses. Like shooting a real gun. Bang Bang. Possibly my all-time favorite toy.

Here's a little more info for those interested. Assembly time was between 10 and 12 hours. The kit is extremely well made and for the most part, the instructions are excellent. The wooden parts are laminated boards that have the parts laser cut so you simply press each part out of the board. There are around 14 boards total and you will have some parts left over (most likely for spares or to replace lost or broken parts).

Besides the wooden parts, there are several bags of screws of various lengths - each bag being well labeled. There is also a bag containing the various steel pins, springs, plastic parts and two screw drivers used to assemble the different parts. Last, there is a sanding block, a small square of sand paper and a stick of wax. For the most part, the wood parts separate cleanly enough that no sanding is needed. The wax is used for lubrication on the parts that rub against each other during operation.

The saying "Real men don't need instructions DOES NOT APPLY HERE!!!" You will never in a million years get this to work without them! :p The instructions are well done but careful attention is needed, especially in the actual internal parts. When springs or steel pins are needed, a picture of the part drawn to scale is shown so you can easily compare to make sure you are using the correct part. The same applies for the screws though they are also put in separate part's labeled bags. There are some videos on the ROKR website explaining some of the more complicated areas of assembly but you probably won't need to view them.

If you look at the picture I posted and compare it to the one in the video posted, you will notice that the outside ring around the drum magazine on mine is backwards. I noticed this and my OCD will most likely make me disassemble/reassemble it but it works fine as is. (NOTE: I have since corrected it!)

Plenty of "ammo" is included and requires no permit nor age requirement to procure. :D

I bought a couple of the marble run puzzles to pass time over holidays. They do take time and patience.
