I Got the Flu!

Wow I didn't think I could feel any worse! And I even got the flu shot so I guess this must have been some new imported strain!
I didn't even feel this bad when I went through chemo.

Haven't been sick in years but the flu kicked me in the head a couple of months ago. Nothing seemed to help much except rest and ride it out. You have my sympathy!

I've had something now since a week ago Saturday. Been tested for flu which came back negative but it sure feels like it.

A bad respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is going around that feels like the flu but isn't. I hope that is not what you have. Even young healthy people are getting bronchitis and pneumonia. It takes a good three to four weeks to clear up. Tamiflu does not help RSV.

See your Dr if you develop a bad cough or get worse. My Dr said this was the worst viral epidemic he had seen in his 30 years of practice, and that includes the swine flu outbreak several years ago which was bad in our area.

I missed five days from work with bronchitis. I haven't done that in almost 20 years. Wife was out for 2 weeks (she's never out), then got laryngitis for another week.

Doctor tested us both (x-rays) to check for pneumonia.

Been over a month now and I'm still coughing up crud. And so weak, I can hardly walk.

Ditto on the flu, AND pneumonia.

I think this aged me about five years.

I am 73 now, so this is definitely not good.

The last flu shot I got almost killed Me.I could not even get out of bed for two days and it was about a week before I felt up to doing anything so I'll put up with the Flu it doesn't last as long.

I got the double flu shot for us seniors 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and 12 hours later I had a full 100% full blown flu attack .. put me down 6 days all told .. was nasty .. flu is very dangerous if you have a breathing ailment ..

since I had the flu in the pandemic of 1957 I have only had the flu 3 times since .. this last year was one of them ..
