We were at the bank yesterday doing some business and a loan officer I know said come back I want to show you something, went back and he pulled out a M&P 9mm with a laser sight unloaded it and handed it to me. First one I had ever had a hold of. He turned the laser on and it lined up with the sights, it felt great handled like a Luger or a P38, just felt natural in your hand. He had an inside waist band holster it really felt and looked great. NOTE when I posted this I did not know you had a M&P listing.

I've sold and traded my M&P's as I just didn't like the feel of them in my hand. The recoil felt on the .40 S&W version wasn't pleasant either. I'd read that the trigger wasn't great on the first generation and boy people aren't kidding. It felt like there was sand in the moving parts, gritty as heck.

I much prefer my 3rd gen semi-autos or any of my other brand striker fired pistols. Sorry S&W I wanted to like your new offerings but I just can't.

Love my M&P 45!! Fits my hand and points perfectly. Took about 250 rounds to work out any kinks. Since then no failures or stove pipes and a smooth trigger. Got over 900 rounds thru it. I'm a revolver guy but this may be my favorite handgun.

I've only gotten to handle an M&P9 (2.0) as a range rental but it's been my favorite striker-fired gun I've shot. If I ever do get a striker gun it'll probably be one.

I really like my M&P 2.0 Compact. I also like the interchangeable backstraps that it came with.

I like my M&P's but I really, really like my 3rd gens and prior. The M&P's are solid guns that lack the soul and character of the earlier generations. But I think I'll be keeping both...

Just an off the wall comment to add..... I owned for a while(should of kept it} a version 1
M&P 40 compact about 4 or 5 years ago, I recall that it had a very smooth trigger, carried
easily, and the 40 recoil was not bad. Very accurate and very reliable.

While back I won an M&P45FS, felt real good in my hands, iffy trigger, but I liked it a lot. My brother came to visit and liked it better, so I gave it to him, with 5 10 rd mags and 2 14 rd mags.

I like my Gen III better.

But I'd keep an M&P if I won another one again. :)

Just about the only complaints I've ever heard about the M&P is that it isn't a 3rd Gen 40 Tactical Series or minor gripes by trigger snobs who say the same thing about any gun that doesn't have a 3lb competition trigger.

Putting aside my love for the 4006TSW, the M&P Series is a worthy successor to earlier designs for their intended purpose. They aren't fancy, they aren't expensive, they aren't works of art, by as far as modern polymer-framed working man's pistols go, they are among the finest available within their price-point.

M&P

I have one each M&P 45 & 9 full size, and 45 & 9 Shield.
They are all great pistols, I have never had problems with any of them!
