I guess I haven't been paying attention!

Don't bet on it. If there is a wireless signal anywhere around it may be transmitting to it. I have a C-Pap that is only plugged into the wall for power and Sleep Number Bed that the only connections are to the wall outlet. Both of these pick wireless connections and transmitted data to a collection point. Your cameras may be doing the same.

 Your C-PAP and bed are "transmitting" to your wireless network? How did you find this out? "Enquiring minds want to know."

My cameras are all hard-wired (no wireless), on shielded cable (coax) so i don't think there is any interaction between them and my wireless network unless it's happening either at the camera itself or at the DVR. But you just never know...

The Doctor tells me when I see him what the machine has been recording of my sleep habits. So I figure it is transmitting a signal to some where.

I get updates on my phone from the bed/company about what my sleep habits are according to the bed. So it too, is transmitting data somewhere.

I figure it has to be a wireless signal from each machine that is tapping into the wireless system in the house. If I did not have wireless somewhere in the house it would pick up a signal from the neighbors or somewhere so they can communicate to the companies involved.

Ah..... "the known unknowns" :) That is clearly by design, although I'd want to know exactly what the bed company does with that data aside from sending it to you- that's the only worry I'd have there. Also, you or someone must have set up access to your wireless network to allow that transmission. Under no circumstances whatsoever should that have been done without your express knowledge and consent.

That's what worries me about about using "apps" on my phone- you never really know exactly where the data is going, and the EULA and "security statements" are usually so convoluted as to be meaningless to anyone other than a lawyer. I have very few apps on my iPhone, and only have them active when needed, and I'm only on wi-fi when I need to access the net on it, which is rare.

Here's an article from May 2019 in the Washington Post that might accentuate any insomnia:
It's the middle of the night. Do you know who your iPhone is talking to?

Listen carefully. Research second amendment policies of Levi Strauss and don’t ever mention them again.

I agree and I will never buy anything from them again. The CEO teamed with Michael Bloomberg and that should tell any gun owner all they need to know. It is easy to look up. Here is just one section of a article about it.

" Levi Strauss & Co. is taking a stand against gun violence, an unexpectedly political move from the all-American denim company that could turn off some customers — but also win it points with a new segment of shoppers.

The San Francisco-based retailer said last week it is pledging more than $1 million to support nonprofits and youth activists who are working to end gun violence. The company is also partnering with Michael Bloomberg to help create a coalition of business leaders who support gun control measures and encouraging employees to get involved in political causes."

The company is based in San Francisco, that ought to tell the whole story. Haven't purchased their products in years due to their jacking up their prices due to name recognition. Not being a clothes horse do need their stuff.

Ordered bout $200 worth just couple days ago, as the bibs are finally wearing out. They only lasted bout 38 yrs. Yea, and you can easily pocket carry.

Same here. I know it is transmitting a signal because there is a signal strength meter on the CPAP machine. I can pull up the maker's web site each day and see how I slept the night before.
