I guess it's official now....I'm OLD

OLd?

You know you may be old when the last Nuc ship you served on(state-of-the-art then) has long been razor blades! It's hard to shoot my revolvers at 100yds with open sights any more, but the red dots help a lot!

I'm not really that concerned about the cataract surgery except for a few things. They are going to use the Toric implants for distance so I'll have to wear reading glasses. My only concern is that I have 20-20 vision with my eyeglasses now and just want to have the same 20-20 after the surgery.

I'm right eye dominant...Got the cataract surgery done on that one 3 mos ago...Distant vision is wonderful...The other eye isn't bad enough yet, but it'll probably be done in July....I'm having a near vision lens put in that eye...
I'll just have my eyes switching from right to left ,depending on what I'm looking at.... I did this with a left eye contact lens when my near vision went out 25 years ago..When the distant vision went belly up a few years later I just went to glasses..
I does work, and I won't be wearing prescription lenses any more....Best of luck on your surgery...+++100 on the need for darkened lenses for a day or two...

Surgery should be just fine. Had mine done last year. The colors are wonderful, need some cheaters to read the fine print, opted for distance. Heck I couldn't even read street signs before surgery. The world and the targets are beautiful!

I had to have the surgery in both eyes when I was in my 40's. It could have been caused from sitting in front of the old CRT computer screens for all of those years. I will be 68 in May and my vision changes very little from year to year. My sensitivity to the glare on oncoming head lights has increased as I have aged.
