Either the pistol or the trigger has to go. I can't get use the trigger pull. I know it's not a target pistol, but no matter how fast I try to pull the trigger, it's still to long and to slow. What triggers are available that are shorter and smoother then the factory trigger, and where can I find them.

Sounds like you bought the wrong handgun for what you want or expected. Yes you can replace the trigger and internal parts with Apex; but then you have more in the pistol than if you started with an M&P. The SD series pistols are reliable, dependable and accurate for their intended purpose-a good self defense weapon. Not a great trigger, and not a "fast" trigger.

My suggestion would be start over with another pistol that better suits your needs/expectations. I own 4 of the SD series pistols, like them, shoot them. They are not on par with my M&Ps or my Rugers; but I knew that up front. YMMV :-)

Thanks for the reply. I paid 279 bucks for this a few years ago, so I do have some room to spend on it. I like the pistol other than the trigger so I want to see if I can make more suited to me.

Some folks said practice with it and you'll get use to it. No luck. I tried pulling the trigger fast, as some suggested, but the pull is to long do suit me. At least all but two rounds hit the target with two just outside I did a sight adjustment as I was hitting the right side.

T think if I could have dry fired it a few times I'd of moved up but the clerk wouldn't take the lock off for me. I'll never buy another one that I can't dry fire.I really would take a hit if I were to sell it, and would appreciate feedback on other triggers. Not too interested in spring kit at this time. Thanks

After reading the thread on the Boudica trigger, I got one. I put it in a little while ago, and it feels pretty good. I haven't shot it yet, but dry firing it feels pretty good. Much more like I'm use to. I think I'll be very happy now.

I too installed a Boudica trigger in my SD9. My friend has an APEX trigger in his SD9VE. IMHO, I think the Boudica trigger is 10X better than the APEX.
