I hate "should I get it" posts, but....

I can't see how the shop can stay in business with what the profit must be on those prices. All of those are unbelievably low compared to my area. Nice snag!

It all depends on what they paid for them. Some places still do straight markup on their cost vs. actual market price.

If I found a 4506 for $300.00, all I would say to the salesman is, "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!!!!"

I paid $380-something for my 4566 and was thrilled to do so.
I love 1911s but 3rd gen Smiths will cycle empty brass and pretty much any ammo you can dream of.

In the future if anybody finds a $300 or even a $400 4506, and is thinking about posting up a question here to buy it,, please PM me first with the name and location of the shop or seller so I can save you the grief...

Glad you got it, jealous as hell, but glad you got it.

Nice find. I have been in some gunshops that get in the old S&W autos or something like a Colt Double Eagle and sort of look at is as junk. Good places to walk into if you are looking for what they think is not that valuable.
