I hate Taco Bell ... UPDATED

I fully expect the vultures (no offense to our distinguished lawyers on the forum) to start sending me mail with offers to sue the petticoats off the woman, if it turns out that she has no insurance, I think I just might let loose with the flying monkeys.

That's why uninsured motorist is the most critical insurance you can carry because of the idiots that either have no insurance or just the minimum required by law. Insurance companies hate to sell it because they are insuring an unknown risk but you must insist on it.
Although flying monkeys are always good to unleash-I'd rather have the money ;)

So, did she, or didn't she have insurance?

I'm going to bet that if she had tolerance for a BAC that high, this isn't her first DWI rodeo.

A casual drinker at .20 would be unconcho.
To be able drive to Taco Bell at .20 takes practice.

Taco Bell seems to appeal to the "late night druggie" crowd (Pot and Hashish smokers/useres).Their commercials target them. It would seem to be the place to avoid.

I remember the Shoney's of the Damned back in the day in Mt. Pleasant, SC. At least, that's what it seemed like around 0200 on a Sunday.

This is the truth.....

RED...................................
she ran into a RED car !!

One reason my new 4x4 is RED, is because people are supposed to be able to see that color well !!!

Figured it would add a little safety for me on the streets.
I will try to miss the Taco Bell, here in town.

Thanks for the warning.
Sorry for the fender bender........... but at lease the guys got it all on paper and you should be in good with the insurance company and repair shop and no out of pocket money needed.

I've learned over the years if you drive a big, impressive looking car, people don't pull out in front of you nearly as much as if it were a small junker. Of course some drunken wench that can't even see where she's going doesn't count.

Glad your ok and got a drunk off the road! Some people are clueless!

If that is your red car in the picture with the crumpled fender we may have to ask you to turn in your man card. No self respecting guy, especially a Smith and Wesson owner and LEO should be driving a little puddlejumper like that. Tell us that it was a rental, please!

**UPDATE**

I got my copy of the police report last night, according to the locals her BAC was a .206, between 2.5 and 3X the legal limit of 0.08, Really? A 62 year old woman soused at 5 pm? You'd have thought she'd have known better, but I'm NOT surprised, there's a lot of stupid (naturally and chemically enhanced) people out there.

That is a lot of Holiday spirit! I did not think you were supposed to reach that level of stupor until the 11th day of Christmas. Most 62 year old women with that much alcohol in their system would be passed out some where, not driving.

I would beleive that like a lot of ?functional? drunks, her system alcohol level never approaches ZERO, and a .08 or .10 is normal for her! Not holiday spirit level but normal for her!😞

Heck...206 is chump change. Working in the fire dept I quite often saw BACs in the 400 range. My wife had a person in the emergency room one time with a BAC over 500 and he was talking and kinda walking. One I dealt with had a BAC over 350 and when he was questioned told us(and the cops) he had had the obligatory ...2 beers. Habitual alcoholic drinkers can easily function almost normally in the high 200s to low 300s. Key word is ALMOST. High IS normal for them. We also had a college student almost die after drinking a quart of 100 proof whiskey in less than 5 minutes according to the other partiers

Oh, I know. I too have seen a few professional alcoholics and what they produce on a BAC machine. This woman was no pro, she could barely stand and her "speech" was, well, gibberish.

Isn't your lower back hurting??

I got food poisoning from taco swell haven't been back there since. It's been over 15 years.

They'll never find the answers there looking for in a bottle.

I don't condone being drunk at anytime but, I'd rather it be at 5pm instead of 7 or 8 am---which I see a lot of around town. Once I was sitting on agency next to a church, when a man smelling of booze, stumbled towards the bench and was about to open another magnum. I simply said, don't youstart drinking more around me and you should be ashamed of yourself. He said he hadn't been drinking yet, and I merely pointed out that he smelled of booze, and had peed in his pants. He got up and staggered to another drinking spot I suppose.

I have nothing against drinking, I told my kids your 21yo get a 20pk what ever light the grill in the backyard cook dogs, burgers ect and enjoy. Stay put don't drive.

My dad was a mean drunk. He beat my mom and us kids. Not good.

So let me see if I get this. A drunk person pulls out of Taco Bell, hits you, ruins your onion rings as well as your car, and you're blaiming Taco Bell? I don't get it, what did Taco Bell have to do with it other than she was pulling out of their parking lot?

I think he meant that bad things seem to happen to him around that Taco Bell...Meaning he said it tongue in cheek. I mostly quit drinking before I ws 21..I will have a very occasional drink but only at home. Just don't get excited about likker of any kind. I saw my father pretty drunk twice. First time I was 13 and he was selling fish cause we needed the money. No market for the fish he caught so we took 'em to Baltimore and he sold 'em in the gin mills. The buyers kept buying him drinks. I drove home..Next time he caught 6 ton of Rockfish(stripers) Even at 20 cents a pound that was a lot of money. He was a Chesapeake Bay waterman. Our whole family was never much on drinking. Working in the fire dept taught me it wasn't worth drinking and driving.
