I kinda have been leaning on getting an M&P .45 ACP to round out my set. Any comments will be appreciated, as I have never shot a .45 and was wondering how much different it is than the .40.
Thanks,

Yes, you absolutely need to complete the set otherwise it may throw off the balance of the universe (and you don't want that).

IMHO that 45s push more than "snap" in their recoil cycle. However, I enjoy shooting the 45 more than any 40. I have and carry a M&P 45c and I love it. It's the only plastic gun that I truly like. Outside of my 22/45 Ruger.

I have the forty and I love it, but if I were you, I might want to get something different. It's like the guys that have 10 1911's, once you seen one or two of them, the other eight seem boring.

Go on about the M&P any thing.

My CC is a Kel-Tec PF-9. I will not be purchasing a M&P compact anything. Only FS for HD, auto and range play. I have put at this point over 7k rounds through my lowly KT and its been a beast about it. 0 to 5 yards is my cc range. I will run before I have to shoot if I have my eyes open and my brain working. If not I will belly punch them so hard the last thing they see of me is there eyes crossing as I blow parts of them out there back side with my own +p loads.

I do practice with my KT and at 25 yards it's a killer. As fast as I can pull the trigger.

And the next pistol I buy bad trigger and all will be a P-11 with a clean eye looking for a old .40 S&W kit and the holy grail 357 kit in a pocket pistol. And then there is the we don't talk about it 10mm / .40 mod in a large so called junk pocket sort of pocket pistol.

Look into the .45 compact and carry a brick. lolololololol I like M&P's. :)

In my hands the 40 S&W has more of a snappy recoil while the 45 ACP has more of a shove. I recently purchased the M&P45 full size and was impressed with it's reliability and accuracy. My M&P45 fed everything from RN FMJ's through 185 gr. LSWC's without any problems. I obtained 1 1/2 to 2 inch groups at 50 ft which I thought was excellent for a striker fired pistol.

Can you think of a good reason that you should not buy one? I have a FS .45 M&P and really like it. Would like to try a .45c one day. I say finish of the collection and get one.

By all means...complete the trifecta! I did and have NO regrets at all...
