dear s&w forum, I have a dilemma on my hands. To help save myself some financial misery i have decided to remove one s&w revolver from my collection list that i am using to restart my s&w handgun collection. The dilemma that i have though is which gun to take off the list? if you folks would take a look at my list and offer up your thoughts it would help me to make a better decision on which gun to chose. The guns on the list will be used for target practice at an outdoor range near my home. sincerely and respectfully mg357 a proud member of the s&w forum. p.s. here is the gun list
1.s&w model 10 4 inch barrel
2.s&w model 36 2 inch barrel
3.s&w model 60 3 inch barrel
4.s&w model 64 4 inch barrel
5.s&w model 617 4 inch barrel
6.s&w model 686 4 inch barrel

:) After the model 10 I would remove the model 64. The last I would remove is the 617. I have a thing for 22LR guns. Don

I would say the 36 as I don't care for snubbies, and they don't seem too hard to be able to find to replace.

I'd let go of two...the 10 and 36. Both of those would probably be the easiest and cheapest to replace down the road if you so choose. The 64 will do anything the 10 will do, and the 60 will do anything the 36 will do. Keep the 686 for full power .357. The 60 (depending on configuration) will conceal just about as easily as the 36 and the 617 will be good for cheap practice. You'll still have a nice set of revolvers and a little more cash to boot.

How are you going to "remove" it from the list? Buy it or fuhgeddaboudit?

The 2" snubbie is the last one I'd pick up if I was heading out to the range.

If you're going to be strictly target shooting you need a 6" barrel somewhere on the list. JMO.

Since this is only the wish list, why remove anything? Watch for deals and add what you can, when you can.

That's the way it works for me. My 686 was about the only revolver I was actually "looking for" when I found it and I'd been searching for over a year. I would also say I probably "bought it too soon" as well, but no remorse here.

I have a general idea of what I want but that's about it.
