I have got to stop acquiring handguns!

TeamPB - i can assure you that 1st snub will prove to be problematic! You will now develop an eagle eye for snubbies. You might a well make more room in the safe. Enjoy!

I got married last year and my handgun acquisition syndrome got cut off cold turkey. I've had painful withdrawals for about 6 months now

I keep telling myself the same exact thing.
Gotta stop.
Then I find the next one.... :D

I am past that, i need to get rid of most of my guns, so my Kids don't have to. I Can't go in buy a gun say I will get rid of one, and don't.
It's no fun.

Yesterday I finally got to the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department to pick up vouchers for all 6 of the, New To Me, handguns that I have purchased while on Lock Down here on Long Island. 5 Of them should be on my permit by Monday. Mostly Smiths
Model 48
Model 53
Model 57
Model 4506
TOZ-35M
Benelli MP3

Thank goodness that we are opening up here before I go broke!

4506....my first LGS buy a few years back. Now I have its not so polished twin and many dozens of its cousins. Since lockdown a model 52-2. Thanks for the $1200.00 Trump!!

YES, It appears that we all pretty much agree !! Buying, Swapping, Trading, all classify as another Poster stated, 'H.A.S.' = Handgun Acquisition Syndrome', of which I prefer to refer to it as, Firearms Acquisition Syndrome. I get the very same 'high' whether it be an handgun or rifle / shotgun. The ONLY thing that prevents me from overdosing is MONEY, or of course the wife, who simply can't understand why someone would possibly need more than 3, rifle, shotgun, & or handgun. Years ago, before the anti-gun stupidity got really carried away, I used to scout the LGS for WW2 era USGI 'Bring Backs', of which there were numerous examples turning up. But, as the Democrats became embolden, I figured I should perhaps focus on anything 'verboten' which I may have wanted, but never really needed. Well, then as it is now, if you ever really wanted anything particular, you best buy it now, while you still can do so legally. OMG, when I start thinking about all the odd Contract production S&W's, I literally become I'll !!! But, I guess we can't keep them all, right ?? As I said before, my only problem with keeping / buying them all is of course, money !!!

Best, dpast32

Count me in for five during this lock down. Actually the wife liked one and took it away from me, so ordered another. Sure am glad the weather is getting good enough to go outside and do some work.

A wife -- so what?

I got married last year and my handgun acquisition syndrome got cut off cold turkey. I've had painful withdrawals for about 6 months now

If I'm reading your post correctly, you are an expert about Diesel engines and were born in 1956. So, why would you stop buying guns? You are in your peak income earning years, 2 years away from retirement with full social security and 1 year to Medicare. Have money buy guns? Did "She" stop buying shoes and purses?

Or maybe I see why I'm on wife #3. :o

All this talk about selling because of age and the fear your kids won't appreciate them reminded me how lucky I am in this regard. Although I'm a bachelor, I have a much younger brother and two nieces who are gun enthusiasts with similar interests to mine, so I feel that my gun "legacy" will be well preserved through the next generation, and at least one of the nieces has kids with similar interests developing. Yes, I'm a lucky guy in that respect! :D

I was all set to pounce on a Mini 14 and was looking for my next Smith ... then vehicle repairs emptied my gun fund.

I hate when life gets in the way.

As we all know, the disease is, unfortunately-or fortunately, terminal. I've enjoyed the symptoms for 50 years. ;):D

Yeah, I've got to stop as well. But I said the same thing several hundred handguns ago.
