Guns are my hobby. I collect guns, shoot guns and enjoy guns. The enemies I speak of are those who would restrict or abolish my hobby and trample my 2nd Amendment Rights.

The NRA-Institute for Legislative Action has compiled a list of national organizations, companies and prominent individuals who are anti-gun. The list is far too long to post here so I am providing a link. There are organizations and companies on the list that I would never have suspected as being anti-gun. In the future I will be more diligent as to where I spend my dollars.

I see some names on that actors, etc. list who have made a boatload of $$$ playing with toy guns in movies & on TV. One of the miriad reasons I don't watch cop, lawyer or doctor shows.

I see names of actors who have made careers playing characters fully immersed in gratuitous action hero gun violence on screen. That reeks of hypocrisy ...

I had a discussion with a dentist a while back. I've changed his locks at least 10 times over the last 15 years. We somehow got around to politics and guns.

I slipped and mentioned gun grabbing liberals and he just smiled. So here I think I just stepped in it and he admits that he WAS one of those liberals but just bought his first gun!

He recently got married and wants to be able to protect his family. So we agreed to get together some time and shoot.

You just never know.

The AARP really bothers me. They feel that seniors are better off getting rid of their 'dangerous guns' and relying on the police to protect them. I don't care how fast the local 911 dispatches a unit to your residence, they won't get there in time to stop the crime unless the intended victim does something to protect themselves. The AARP should stick to their core mission and stay out of the Bill of Rights.

You could drive yourself nuts trying to figure out what "anti-gun" means to each of these organizations. I suspect that if every one on this list were truly "anti-gun" the majority of Americans would not support the 2nd Amendment, which they do. I think I'll just decide for myself, on an individual basis, who's against gun ownership and who isn't. I suspect I'll find we have more friends than enemies.

I believe not all the listed celebrities are American citizens or American born. To those I say, "Shut the **** up, and go back to the country you came from. Nobody forced you to come here. If you don't like the rights we have, then Mapquest will tell you where the nearest airport is located."

Disappointed that Leonard Nimoy didn't learn his lesson from In a Mirror Darkly. He led the undoing of the Terran Empire through unilateral disarmament and doomed the human race to slavery at the hands of the Klingons and even the Bjorans.

There are so many other things people should be against other then guns. I am to aware of those people who are afraid of guns or don't understand the importance of being able to protect themselves and their family and or their county. Using a gun to protect ones self is the last thing the majority of us want to do, but we understand that when seconds count the police are minutes away. I am careful who I give my money to, I want to know they support the same values I do.
