I have Sambar fever

This was my Grandfather's Tackle Box Knife. Found it in his Kennedy Hip Roof tackle box. It has been there for 50 or more years. Doubt it is Sambar, but still neat to me. Blade is all rusted, but still pretty sharp.

I was told these might be Sambar but I would like your opinions. They came on a K frame RB. I want to list them in the classifieds but don't want to call them something there not.

They look like Sambar to me but regardless if you just mention in your listing that you “think” they are Sambar, that would be sufficient.

Years ago I bought this vintage Ruger Bearcat at my LGS and the owner asked me if I'd like a set of stags to go with it that he happened to have. I said sure and a mere $75 later the Bearcat had a new outfit for the prom:

Other than my three revolvers that wear elk horns by bgmntmn the only other stag item I have is this old Puma Prince. Actually, I don't know how old it is, it came from the estate of a hoarder and it was NIB.

Wow, those are some beautiful handles.
When I was a young man, my dad taught me how to avoid catching Sambar Fever and similar ailments. It’s all about keeping your wallet in your pants. You follow this simple practice, and you’ll stay out of trouble.

CH4, I’m not sure how old you are, but if you are older than 40, you could have bought Sambar Stag for a pretty reasonable price by the time you were considered an adult. If you are older than 60, you could have bought Sambar Stag for great prices by the time you were considered an adult! I am over 60, but didn’t cherish Sambar Stag until the last 10-15 years or so, and that was too late to get the good stuff cheap.

This post is going to hurt ... ME !! .... At least I still have ONE of the revolvers shown. I have NONE of the stag grips shown :( The pics were taken around 2005.
The two cheapest sambar pairs I ever bought were both off gun show tables.
I paid TWO DOLLARS for a K square pair that was just gorgeous yellow/gold with the black bark (45 years ago)
I paid EIGHTEEN DOLLARS for a creamy white with lighter brown bark to fit on my brand new Ruger Redhawk. He wanted $20 and I bargained him down :) (40 years ago)

Just got these. Now I need to find a K Frame to match (the originals are staying on this snub).

Have a very nice set of k frame but one panel is missing the half moon spacer. Is there anyone that might have the part or specializes in the repair of these stocks.
Thanks
Bob
