If any of you good folks remember I went and got ticked off at my new boss and returned the work truck bare of my tools one sunday night at 11pm firmly quitting my Job without another in sight.
And you know something?
It was the best feeling I have had for quite a while!
I wound up going several months with no job and no unemployment, But it too was a great feeling,
I got a job as a building engineer in an old hospital which closed down 5 years ago,, Now it is turning into office space and is a total of 700,000 Sq ft with about 300,000 rented and I oversee all the HVAC equipment, Plus get to wander the halls looking at all the cools stuff left behind.
I also have started a new and odd hobby as well.
Repairing antique radios!
I work on these buggers both small and large and replace all the tired capacitors and resistors and get them working again, Plus I go in and install a 1/8" plug so you can plug in your MP3, Laptop, Ipod and the like so you can listen to what ever you wish!
I havent been buying too many firearms, But have secures a couple real nice pieces.
The radios come cheap when not working and sell for some good coin when done right, We are saving for a house right now, So value is important.
So that's about it folks!
Here's a couple pics of the radios I have done,
This one is a Zenith from 1938.
Automatic tuning and sounds great!
The one on the right is a Zenith, From 1939, Also a great sounding set!
The one on the left I bought in the package deal and sold as is for the price of both!
Here's a Telefunken from 1956.
6 speakers filled with German radio building at it's best,
Real big sound... WIll trade for nice revolver
Just finished this cute little Zenith cube from 1938.
Wonderful sound!
I dont know what it is.
Smith and wessons from the 50s and Zeniths from the late 30s really call to me!
Guys gotta keep busy and buying sets for $20 bucks, Spending 4 hours on them and selling them for a couple hundred is a good thing!
Hope that all of you are well!
Peter and Eileen
